Issue 6: Music Games And Video Games Live

I still can't believe you don't like this issue, I thought it really highlights what makes your podcast special, such as discussing interesting things about a type of game whilst adding a personal spin to it as well. I actually wasn't as interested in the Video Games Live section as I was the stuff about Pa Rappa. I guess that just shows you how our tastes differ.

Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!

If Nintendo ever allows third-party Nintendo 64 games, we could see the Bomberman 64 games on it. Hudson owns all rights to them, so there aren't any legal issues holding them back.

I played a lot of Bomberman 64 multiplayer back in the day, but I didn't get Second Attack until much later, so I've never played it with real players. I could say that the A.I. seems a little smarter in SA, but that sounds a little sad.

I think it was carrying supplies or something. I forget now.

Wii Remote Plus Revealed By Gamestop

Posted on 09/24/2010 at 06:12 PM | Filed Under News

I'm kind of surprised Nintendo didn't make this back when they started bundling the Motion Plus with every Wii Remote, it would have saved them money on manufacturing costs. Can you even buy a Wii Remote without it anymore?

The Wii Remote and Motion Plus bundle is already $50, so this makes the game practically free. That makes me wonder what price the stand-alone game will be.

Should Multiplayer and Single Player Exist Separately?

Posted on 09/23/2010 at 09:53 PM | Filed Under Feature

SSBBrawl would be a terrible game regardless, but the single player was easily the worst aspect of it.

In any case, I totally agree that some genres should have multiplayer-only games. I believe the reason why we didn't see much of this in the past (Mario Party is about it) is because multiplayer-only games were perceived as having less value due to the requirement of multiple people. Online play has eliminated that, though unfortunately, in too many cases, it replaced local multiplayer. Games like shooters and Smash Brothers have a lot to them, and require a lot of attention, so using resources for single player modes is a waste.

Metroid: Other M Review

You collected only 40% items on your first time through? That is pretty low. How much did you search for them? I got 73%, and when I was going around to collect 100%, I noticed several of them were just hidden away, and I could have gotten them on my first time through the area if I were paying attention.

Will there be a "Best New Staffer" award to hand out?

I know, but nobody knows what an MSX is so this was just easier.

The four hidden stages relied on gimmicks. There was a sewer stage with rushing water that pushed players about, a ship stage that rocked back and forth, a snow stage with wind that blew players and bombs around, and a glass aquarium stage with a slippery floor.
