Winter Gaming Full of Snow

They're still good. It does feel a little weird to follow a story that doesn't exist in the gaming world at the moment. Well, I guess the universe of Mass Effect will go on, but plots like the search for Shepard seem like old news now.

                                     sumosanta

     Anti-Claus?! The only evil Santa is SUMO SANTA. He’s the Toy Kingpin out to take over Bad Mr. Frosty’s North Pole. At Klaymodo Isle he commands a hoard of thuggish Elves who ALWAYS hit harder than you. Put that in your fruitcake and eat it!

    <Huff huff>

     Sumo Santa is the best Sumo Wrestler in Claydonia and will crush anyone with his Flabbalanch at the slightest provocation. He will sit on you, unleash the Belly Lunger, the Kringle Krush, and the deadly Air Blubber. He’s the baddest of the badass! So go jingle THIS all the way!

My Top 10 Genesis Games

Yea, that game is gorgeous. I keep thinking about it and how I should own that game. I have Origins and it's wonderful even though it kicks my ass. I've heard Legends is a little easier at least in the opening levels.

Yea, I'm not sure if Halo did it first but possibly the game's popularity made developers copy that more than any other game. The dual analog sticks started with PS1 controllers around 1997 so I wonder what games used that control scheme a few years before Halo came out. I need to go play Duke Nukem 3D on PS1 again to remember how the controls worked. Maybe that was one.

My feeling exactly.

AFK: Never mind, we're back in business!

I saw an ad for RWBY and noticed it was by Rooster Teeth. I didn't know this was what they were doing after Halo. Or maybe they still do a Halo show too? I've lost track of them.

Reviewing Consoles Early On Is Stupid

I need a game that really cranks my nobs and some extra money lying around. That perfect storm usually happens for me six months to a year after new consoles come out. If I could afford it, I would probably get caught up in all the hype and buy at least one of the conosoles on day-one.

I rage quit Lost Planet about half way through today. The mechs move very slowly and some of the bosses really hammer you before you can maneuver or get a shot off.

I've also read Guns, Germs and Steel and Collapse by Jared Diamond. He's great.

Chris Finds A Gold Mine Of Vinyl At Goodwill & Some Games From Toys R Us

Oh man, that B-52's album is the bomb. "Hero Worship" is my favorite song off that one, and yes I know what she's singing about. I still like it for its wild abandon.

I used to love vinyl. I had so much of it at one time too. I finally transitioned to digital when the price of vinyl approached used CDs at around $7. Vinyl used to be a cheap way to check out new music, albums for 25 cents or a dollar each. Now, not so much.
