The ninth game in the series, Tenchu Z, is for Xbox 360; however, I've heard it's pretty bad. Shadow Assault: Tenchu is also available on XBLA, but once again, it's not that good. The first two Tenchu games are the best.

I actually bought DD5 way back thinking it was a beat 'em up, only to find (to my dismay) that it was a fighting game! It's terrible! Just terrible.
You mean the crappy fighting game one? Ouch. Luckily, this game is not nearly as dreadful as that awful mess.
It's available on the Wii Virtual Console if you have a Wii. Otherwise, you could try emulation.
