Every so often, I'll go and pick up a bunch of games almost at random and try them all out. I discovered how awesome Condemned was (I never play horror games), or the excitement of Fight Night Round 03 (never play boxing or sports games), or the fun of Open Season (never play kid movie liscensed games) or the beautiful environments of Cabela's African Safari (never play hunting games). Sometimes it's fun to try something out of your comfort zone, that is, when you can pull them out of the bargain bin.

I went to Walmart to get a Vita and it took them 15 minutes to tell me they were out of them. 

I always prefer fistycuffs in any game, and doing it in Fallout New Vegas like you describe, makes me want to run out and pick it up ASAP.

At times, my gaming buddy and I are just like those guys. 

I really like OCRemix. Got some really good stuff from them before. 

I'd be all over that if I could justify the expense. Maybe next year sometime.

I like the look of the MegaMan games, but I find the gameplay frustrating. 

I vividly remember the summer before Demon's Souls came out and trying to decide whether to preorder it, Borderlands, or Brutal Legend. I listened to a podcast with Kat Bailey talking about playing Demon's Souls and saying how hard it was. That made me uncertain, but when I saw the trailers, I was sold, sold, sold. I got the game day-one, played it, got smacked around real good, and after a few hours, put it down. It was hard, but fair. Still, I hate repeating areas over and over. Not my sort of thing. But I really respect the game and want to go back, and with some help, try and beat it.

I usually run out of TP which makes me return to town. I've got all sorts of passive skills that replace my HP, but few that replace TP. I often choose the preparation that replaces some TP after every turn, but it doesn't replace all that much. There's one passive skill for an Alchemist that replaces some TP if he has full health at the end of a turn. I had him defend for several encounters just to boost his TP with that skill. Of course there is the preparation that replaces HP and TP every turn, but it costs 300 EN. I use that if I know I'm about to meet a boss.

There's always something else for sure. I've just finished getting those games that I have some irrational fear they will disappear forever.
