The Great Oversight of Telltale Games

I need to watch more Doctor Who to get a better sense of it, but from what I know Telltale would be absolutely perfect for this!

Disintegration would probably be my choice for favorite album. It's one of those albums that creates such a full sound that has such a distinct sense to it, you can almost visually imagine a world based off of it.

Character Builds!

Posted on 04/08/2013 at 02:26 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Seriously love character builds; I did a blog on this subject awhile back. I made a Rick Grimes build in Fallout 3 that has been a blast, limiting myself armor and weapons-wise to character-friendly options. It adds so much creativity, and allows for such a unique play experience.

My girlfriend would flip shit over the Katniss build in Dark Souls, seriously awesome idea man! And as for the punching Skyrim character, someone needs to invent a "Street Fighter Ken's Uppercut" mod so you can knock those Alduin's scaly ass right out of the sky.

Great feature dude.

Kirby's Dream Course won me over as well! I had played Kirby's Adventure and absolutely loved it, but Dream Course is what solidified the series for me. I love that each game tries something new, and that HAL really embraces creativity with the IP. I own the majority of the series, and to this day it is still my favorite.

Super Pac-Man is intense! When I have a shit ton of ghosts chasing me, I can hear the air raid-esque sound from the Alien and Prometheus trailers in my head.

Thank you for the feedback everyone!

Agreed with Epic Greenman here; the Kirby series is amazing because you have the main series consisting of very solid, enjoyable playformers, and then you have the side games such as Kirby's Dream Course (my favorite game of all time!) and Kirby Canvas Curse. Even it the primary platforming series, HAL always tries something new, aesthetically and in turns of gameplay mechanics, to keep things fresh. In an age where repetitious sequels with minor facelifts are the standard, the Kirby series stands as a shining example of creativity that shows what can be done with a franchise when it's creators embrace a fearless attitude.

Agreed - The 28 Days Later scenario dealt with the end of humanity, and the hopelessness that would accompany that situation without the option of procreation. That is a great horror movie, and I certainly agree it wasn't for shock value there.

Night of The Living Dead is just so damn good. The tension and claustrophobia in that farm house between the characters is intense - and that ending perfectly shows that in those situations, people are the ones to fear, more so than the zombies. One of my all time favorites, hands down!

Why this game wasn't included in Kirby's Dream Collection is beyond me - not only is it (in my opinion) one of the best of the series, it is also one of the most popular; fans such as myself have been wanting a sequel now for almost two decades! It is on Virtual Console, and so worth picking up!

That Super C accomplishment, my friend, is damn impressive! I have many fond memories of Super C being the go-to co-op game on the NES.
