Funny. My friend tried it out and didn't like it at first. The beginning is mostly dialog with annoying Makoto being as over-the-top gay as he possibly can be. I started playing it next and kept with it until the battles started. After a while you lose Makoto and Toya and you pick up a possibly more annoying shrewish female character. It's all more humerous than annoying to me. I'm actually enjoying the voice work. Characters being annoying actually makes them seem more real to me. Anyway, my friend was watching me play all this time and changed his mind about the game and this weekend we will be playing it in tandem. He'll probably catch up to me even though I have a 15 hour head start. I'm glad you are playing it too leeradical42. We'll all have something to share over the next few weeks.
Also, I noticed the grid in the battles reminds me of Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. There's no color matching here in Enchanted Arms but the grid is oriented the same way as is the way attacks have ranges and areas of effect.
