The Vita needs a price-drop to sell more units. I think that it looks as appealing as a 3DS, but for different reasons. I am probably leaning more towards a 3DS at the moment.

I never actually beat a pokemon game. I started blue a half dozen times, and played through to the final area of White. I do like nintendo games, but I also like the sony games. I should just stop thinking about it.
I have not quite moved past the DSlite either. It is such a great haldheld, especially since it also plays GBA games.
and with a winter sale coming to steam in a couple of month, you should be able to build up a massive collection of pc games for cheap.
and Cyberpunk 2077. Those CD-Projekt RED guys are awesome.
I would have definitely gotten an SNES on day one just for Super Mario World. Looking back at the past few console launches, I don't think that there has been a system seller since Halo.
I told myself no more games until the PS4, but that did not work as planned. Dark Souls and Mirror's Edge got the better of me. I did not cancel because of money, I just want a good catalog before I get the system.
The more that I look at them both, the harder it becomes. Looking forward, I am not quite sure what comes out on either system. The Vita's future releases do appear to be far more grim than the 3DSs though.
I read about you canceling your pre-order. I think that it had a slight effect on my decision.
I just finally moved out of colony 9. Such a good game.
