Lego Star Wars, 360's Answer to Ratchet & Clank

Posted on 03/19/2013 at 04:19 PM | Filed Under Blogs

When Halo 1 came out, it was all split screen co-op, Silent Cartographer through Assault on the Control Room, every weekend. I actually got a bigger TV just to increase the screen space for this game. Then I got a second TV for the gaming lair at my friend's place to do system link games. Thing is, you couldn't do co-op through system link (LAN) in Halo 1, just multiplayer. I used system link for Brute Force, the so called Halo killer at the time. It was no Halo killer, that's for sure, but it was neat to play co-op on seperate screens. Then internet came along and multiscreen co-op is a regular thing for me as many games have online co-op. It's my favorite game mode.

The Piston AKA The Steam Box

Darn, I thought this Steambox thing was going to be much cheaper. I guess I should just hook up my laptop to my TV instead.

Darkstalkers Week: The Wacky World of Darkstalkers 3

I was introduced to the awesome character design of Darkstalkers by playing Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix on XBLA.

The zanny attacks remind me of Clayfighter 63 1/3.

I'm not much of a fighting game fan, but I want to play Darksiders.

Thanks for the wealth of info on this series!

Creative ways to look at an NES

Those look really cool. I have a top loader model which I like better than the original style. I've heard the orginal ones tend to break easily. But I can see the nostalgia of having the original one, especially modded up like that.

Mass Effect Trilogy is it worth the purchase?

This looks very cool, but I wish all the DLC was included. That would really put it over the top for me.

It looked up some speed run times for all the Mass Effect games and it looks like, if you know what your doing, you can do it all in 30 hours or so. Now that's a marathon for charity! Mass Effect Trilogy in one day! This is of course, not a very enjoyable experience probably.

Lego Star Wars, 360's Answer to Ratchet & Clank

Yea. At times the camera is just in too tight as two people attempt to roam a level. There was this running section through a collapsing corridor where lava brakes the ground beneath you in Episode III that almost had us quiting out because neither of us could see in front of our feet. We finally made it through when one of us hung back a little bit to bring the camera out just enough to navigate the holes in the floor. They should've had a camera that pans out as two people move in opposite directions, but I guess that puts a strain on processing. Or maybe it's just a minor flaw in the design.

A month ago I thought that maybe it was possible I could get through all three games, but I only finished Mass Effect 1 and its DLC.

I find pure voice chat to be uncomfortably intimate even with people I know well. I haven't used my 360 headset more than once or twice ever.

Wow. I usually end up playing something else when I get close to the hundred hour mark. I get restless with the same game after living with it for a month or more.
