It's come to this. Jason likes talking so much, he's created a podcast wherein he talks to himself. Jason will never get a word in edgewise.

For those keeping track, I'm aware that I gave this game a higher score than 1080 Snowboarding. It may not have the polish of 1080, but I found the tracks and gameplay to be just a notch above.
I expect Wii Party to be in a similar situation as Wii Music, in that pretty much everyone who will review it are not a part of the game's target audience. It's going to receive quite a bashing from the media who refuse to accept "casual"-focused titles that don't appeal to their taste. I also wonder if reviewers play minigame collections with other people or just by themselves, as you obviously need to play it with family/friends to get anything out of it.
In fact, if PixlBit happens to receive a review copy of Wii Party, I might try to pull some strings and be the one who handles it. But I'll put Chessa's name on it to be safe.
I also thought it was a game involving insects when I first heard the name, as I didn't see a box shot until sometime later.
That's the problem with the Nintendo 64, it had so many racing games that people overlooked some of the good ones since most people didn't want more than a couple. I, myself, stuck with the Rush series during the N64's market time, purchasing both Rush 2 and 3 new, so a lot of them I played after the fact. And I'd recommend the same for others; so many of these are relatively cheap that now's a good time to take a second look at the games you passed by at full price.
What's with all the Street Fighter lately? It's like the 1990's all over again!
It seems a bit confusing to have two different games which have a title that's the reverse of the other...
It's a shame really, the game seemed to hold some promise.
Though I never owned it, I remember playing and liking BurgerTime when I was younger... but I can't remember anything specific about it. I might have to pick this up just for that reason.
It definitely is a good controller, I would put it just behind the GameCube controller in terms of comfort, which I was really happy with.
There are a couple of things which could have made it top that controller, though. One is swapping the position of the left analogue stick and D-pad. More games use the stick than the pad so it should be in the optimal position. Symmetry does not equal comfort; I thought Nintendo learned this when they made the GameCube controller. Secondly, the face buttons should be recessed, like the ones on the NES and SNES controllers. I have no idea why this design has been abandoned, it was much better than the slightly mounded buttons of today. Lastly, giving the handles a bit more depth would have been ideal as well.
This prize is okay, better than the Mario hat from last year, but I still want a game!
Rob, you don't have to actually have any coins to get the prize, you just need to earn 600 in the Club Nintendo year.
