Life force is great, and the music is awesome too. Konami made the best shooters in the 80s and 90s, no question there.

Once you memorize the enemy patterns, you can make some progress. However, I got stuck at a part where enemy pods randomly appear all over the screen and move towards you. Not knowing where they would appear next, I usually ran into them quite easily.
NES games difficult? Well, there may be a handful of them that are easy, but this one is on par with Ninja Gaiden and Battletoads. If you can handle it, props to you!
Thanks. The artwork is truly amazing. I imagine the arcade version looks, sounds, and plays better than the NES port, but don't they always?
Yes, multiplayer zelda is awesome! Nintendo can do it right, the question is, when will that happen?
Creative NES games like this are rare indeed. Funny you should mention Gradius; I've been playing it all week and am preparing to write about it for a blog post tomorrow. It's a good game, but crazy hard!
Me and my bros. had that game growing up too. We bought Pokemon Puzzle League when it came out (same kind of puzzle game) and loved it. I'm not a big puzzle game guy, but Tetris Attack and PPL are the exceptions to that rule.
Both games are great with solid music. DD might be my favorite game in the MK series, and DKR was so much fun back in the day! The music by Dave Wise gave a lot of personality and spunk to that game.
It's a great game with three friends! Me and my brothers played it together, and it's so fun and competitive! There is no Zelda game like it, and I hope Nintendo comes up with another multiplayer zelda game soon.
Uh oh, you're getting those warm and fuzzies! What about the music, Matt?
