The mech one? I thought that looked cool. I think Nintendo could have said a word or two about it instead of just trailer and very little else. Unless I missed something, which is totally possible since I was skimming for trailers.
Have you mentioned the articles here or are they only on Gamer Dad right now?
I see them go on sale all the time, but I'm still so burnt I forgot to get my free PS+ copy of REmake that one year ... Lol
Yeah, I remember seeing fotage of a later DmC boss that was a virtual talking head/caricature of a cable news host set in a Tron-like world.
I don't play anything multiplayer either, really. I own Bloodborne, but as with Witcher 3, just never got past the first part.
I would honestly just want to play the main trilogy, but that's good to know. Thank you!
Yeah, I put an update comment above after I looked at a video about what was exclusive to Xbox. Kind of a bummer for me that Sable and Tunic are exclusive, but I knew about the rest and just didn't list them. Ori is probably my most wanted of what you listed and I didn't realize Sessions was exclusive before watching that video.
Was Don Mattrick the "your vacuum needs the Internet" guy?
I've only ever played the first part of RE4 on Steam and liked it, but got tired of having to fix frame rate settings. I should play another RE, since people are so hyped about this, but zombies never were my scene. Haunted house stuff kind of is though and now I remember I played RE7 and it was actually too scary for me.
I need to play a DMC or a Bayonetta title as well. I have DmC free via PS+, but I know that's a spinoff.
Yeah, nothing was a big reveal to me this year.
Never got into Dark Souls or Monster Hunter. Sure you're wondering if I'm even a real gamer or not. Lol I am, but tend to focus on console exclusives and owned Nintendo until now.
I want to get that KH 3 pack Sony showed IF that's the trilogy, but the titles make it hard to tell what those damn games are.
I get where you're coming from as far as lack of originality and not wanting gaming to pull a Hollywood where they start remaking EVERYTHING. I just see enough brand new stuff that interests me not to be bothered. As a movie buff who usually prefers the originals, I can understand the general sentiment.
Also, Yakuza Kiwami was the most recent remake I played and by all accounts it is genuinely just a better game in all aspects than the original Yakuza.
Dying Light is another interesting one I need to play the original of. KHIII did look good, but is the 3-in-one package Sony showed off basically the trilogy (would buy) or ... The naming conventions in that series are so damn weird. Wtf does 2.8 final chapter prologue mean? DMC5 looks fun. I'll have to download that free copy of Ninja Theory's DmC, though I know that was a spinoff.
I've never gotten into Elder Scrolls and as someone who never played a lot of these games when they came out, I don't mind the remakes/remasters. My view is those are for people like me and people who played the originals can just ignore them. I don't like the "here's a title card" thing either though. Something about people saying Nintendo "won" E3 with Metroid Prime 4 being hinted at irked me. Like sure, it's cool it's coming, but you don't even know what it looks like.
I liked the first Monkey Ball and wish they'd put a Monkey Ball game in the Yakuza arcades, since they already have the character toys in the crane games. Can't say that series is something I've thought about much since though.
Update: Tunic is XBOX exclusive and I also think Ori looks cool. Sessions looks good and I miss skateboarding games, but I mainly miss their soundtracks and don't love a lot of modern top 40, so XBOX has more exclusives that appeal to me than I thought/remembered, but still no real system sellers.
That sucks, man.
