They actually made an easy playthrough and kept the difficult one for those who wanted the challenge, Im going through trying to complete the challenging setting first. It looks great on the 3DS so I say def get it for that!
I love the older games and I actually love them more the the newer series but the new ones are def good games. I jsut grew up with it, I noticed a lot of people that played Origins around me and then backtracked to the older games went through this.
See thats where I got lucky, I grew up with the Rayman games. I knew mister Rayman before Origins came out so Origins doesnt effect me playing through the originals. I however feel that I might have been on acid playing the first game as a child now.....lol

I actually, dont use the 3D effect on my 3DS for any of the games. It might sound odd but I honestly dont care for 3D effects. Hell I dont even go see movies in 3D. I think personally its over hyped and not worth the extra money. Im happy to hear your enjoying DK, Im severally happy with my purchase. It def is a platform lovers heaven!
I never got to play this game, One time when I bought it for the PS2 it refused to work, it did so for every copy I tryed on it. Gamestop let me trade it for another game after the third try, they would have let me do it after the first but I really wanted to play the game, sad times :(
I dont think your doing nything wrong, maybe it hsnt grabed your attention fully yet, maybe you need to play with some people to help get into it. I say keep playing and see if it picks up for you.

Mothman the best way to make money is to go to the island a catch shark size fish and the big bugs on the palm trees and go back to you town and sell them at retail. You will make bells quickly if you fill up the box to take items back from the island. I do it everyday and pay off a lot of stuff fast.
