BaD: '92, '93, & '94

I'm familiar with all of those save for Mappy and Marble Madness. I just never really know when something was released in arcades in 80s, 90s, 70s, etc. I should actually look into that more for this series.

And yeah, I got Orchid and Jade mixed up because they look really similar.

Jim Beam and Dr. Pepper has a nice pepperminty flavor when done right. However, if they water it down it can taste like garbage, so it's a bit of a Russian Roulette kina thing.

I never found the first few levels of any DKC too hard, but then I never really got that far either.

Damn, I forgot about Revolution X. Where you would kill people with Aerosmith CDs, right? I played that in arcades a ton.

I can agree with that. I definitely preferred the X series when I would rent. I actually really liked Mega Man Soccer, though I'm not sure Wikipedia would consider that a "notable release." In fairness, I think I only rented that once.

I don't remember near as much about Yoshi's Island as I do about SMW, but both were great games.

Favorite Tekken character? Hmmm ... Xiayou? Or if we're only counting the original, then Nina?

I'm not familiar with Rolling Thunder.

I think that trilogy was pretty special, though I definitely remember 3 the least.

I don't see how slamming DKC would be beneficial for Nintendo though. Apparently, Miyamoto was annoyed they didn't want to sell SMW2 until he changed the art style to be more like DKC and he instead made it even more cartoony and they accepted the more cartoony art style.

I think what Casey said about him trying to drive them to do better might make sense but ... I just have no idea. Whatever the case, we ended up with two great games.

Wait, MK3 was at Disneyland? Seems like a branding issue. lol

It's funny to look back on this stuff with 20/20 hindsight and realize how wrong we all were about so many things.

The thing is, the comment supposedly showed up in an interview with a magazine called Electronic Gaming, which was not EGM ... according to some thread I found online. It also appears in a book about video games history, again according to the thread: http://www.dkvine.com/interactive/forums/index.php?showtopic=12331

I have no idea, since the only easily searchable thing about this is Miyamoto's denial in IGN, but it must have surfaced somehow? I dunno.

I think I rented DKC a bit more often than 2, but I do remember preferring 2 overall.

BaD 2018: Week 2 - Other Stuff Chris Collects: CDs

I used to collect so many CDs from junior high and high school, but they became few and far between in college.

I still get annoyed when car rentals have no CD slot.

So much about the Dreamcast was so far ahead of its time. It really is just a shame.

BaD #5: Figures I wanna buy this year Part 1

How large are the figures? I've never really been into these myself, but I guess I could stand to decorate ... some day.
