Everything Must Die - Twisted Metal 2

I played a bit of Twisted Metal on the PS Classic and I think I played the sequel on a demo disc back in the day.  Not really my cup of tea, but they were certainly popular games and representative of the PlayStation.

That's cool that you applied for a job at GamePro.  Shame it never came through.  Back when 1up.com was big, I applied for SO MANY jobs there.  Never was successful, though.

Yeah there wasn't as much on the PS Classic that really interested me as much, but that's why I asked for it for Christmas instead of buying it myself.  I think my favorite game on it is probably Ridge Racer Type 4.  It's still so good!  Be sure to come back next week when I talk about the rest of the games!

Yeah it's a shame the mobile version was so awful, because it had really cool ideas in it like new characters such as a Servebot and Phoenix Wright!

I had never heard of this game until I played it on one of the early Activision 2600 collections on PC.  But when I did play it, I was pretty amazed by it.  I probably would've loved it had I played it when it was new.  Another Activision 2600 game that blew me away when I played it was Pressure Cooker.  That game is surprisingly complex for a 2600 title!

The later Rayman games were much better.

I didn't like the GBA version because it was so small.  Puzzle Fighter should be a game that Capcom re-releases or revisits from time to time.  Except not the mobile version.  That was awful.

If you're doing games from the 1940's, the obvious choice would be 1942.  Better yet, try 1943, as that's one of my all time favorite shooters even to this day!

Yeah the NES and SNES Minis had a better selection of games (especially the SNES one).  But that's why I asked for the PlayStation Classic for Christmas.  That way I could have it and not have to pay for it!  I'm not sure if I'll get the SEGA Genesis Mini, as Genesis classics seem more readily available on collections.  But we'll see.

Isn't it funny how we put up with more crap in games as kids?  I think we might've been more patient, or had more time to kill, or something.

What I've Been Playing

I actually replayed the first part of FF7 on my PlayStation Classic recently (which I just wrote a blog about).  It's not as bad as I remember, which is good.  I have respect for FF7 for trying new things, but unfortunately, it was the new things that I didn't like that they decided to focus on in future installments, so FF7 was also the turning point for me not liking FF games anymore either.  Oh well, at least there's always FF9.

That would be kind of funny if the music sped up when you sped things up as well.  Then it would've been like the credits to the old Benny Hill show.

Can you guess who my favorite FF7 characters are?

It's Super Mario Odyssey, but I like Super Mario Hat better as it's easier to spell.
