Too many great games last month

There were so many good games in September I had to skip out on some of them.  I'd love to play the entire new DQ game in 16-bit mode, but it'll have to wait as I don't have time right now.  I just beat Link's Awakening, which I enjoyed, and I just now downloaded the Untitled Goose Game  HONK!

Wow you've played that Mario Kart Tour game more than I have!  I just got to level 7!

Oh man, if you liked the original Dark Crystal movie, then you've GOT to see the new Netflix show.  It's so good.

My favorite Sesame Street Muppet is Oscar the Grouch (and Bert).  My favorite regular Muppet is the Swedish Chef.  My favorite Fraggle is Boober...I could go on and on.

I don't mind trying mobile games.  I still play the Animal Crossing one because I'm nuts.

Cheese is way too good.  There are a lot of good Kirby games on the 3DS.

Sounds cool, but I'm too lazy to figure out how to do all that.

80's Games I Played Later: Shark! Shark!

Like I said in the comments of your last blog, my cousin had an Intellivision but I don't remember playing very many games on it.  Frog Bog of course.  They had a Blackjack/Poker game.  They also had a golf game and a Dungeons and Dragons game that I couldn't figure out.  Most of the other Intellivision games I played on collections.  Including this one.  I do remember how similar it was to other 'fish eating other fish' type of games.  Some games on the Intellivision collections I remember being ahead of their time.

If you would like a recommendation of something to watch on Netflix, I would like to suggest The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.  I really like it and wrote a little bit about it in my most recent blog.

80's Games I Played Later: Frogs and Flies

When I was a kid and we'd visit family in Alabama, one of my cousins had an Intellivision and she and I would play Frog Bog together for what seemed like hours!  I guess we were easily amused as kids.  I do remember it being a lot of fun, though.  For that reason, I prefer the Intellivision version over the Atari one, which i only played recently on the last Flashbacks collection.

Played Some Mariokart on iOS.

Mario Kart Tour is all right.  Controls are OK unless you want to do any precision driving, then they're awful.  I like how the score and star system works, but not later on in the game when you have to have a bunch to unlock new cups.  And that's where the precision driving comes in.  All the tracks are from old Mario Kart games except the New York one.  That's the only new track.  I'm all for using old tracks, but it's hard to stay interested in a game when there is only one new one.  I guess if you've never played a Mario Kart game before and want a casual racing experience, this is a good game.  But if you've played all the other Mario Kart games like I have, this one won't do it for you.  I plan to review this game at GamerDad in a couple of weeks.

Hey by the way, I know you like to watch Netflix so I wanted to share with you a series I've been enjoying on Netflix lately.  It's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.  It's so freaking good!  Jim Henson was a huge part of my childhood so this feels like something I would've watched back then.  So if you like Jim Henson stuff, I highly recommend it.
