Indeed. I get the feeling this game's Metacritic score is based on pretentious reviewers seeing an "art" game and needing to give it a positive review so that everyone can know they "totally got it."
Such a dull, pointless, incomprehensible experience. But the soundtrack IS pretty good. I'll give it that.

I mostly hunted the robots or completed tutorial missions to level up. Currently I'm at about level 22 for Aloy and halfway through the story. I probably need some hardpoint arrows.
1979 just makes me think of Smashing Pumpkins, even though that was 90s nostalgia for the 70s, not something actually from the 70s.
Yeah, I definitely think it's better for helping someone without mental illness understand psychosis than it is showing someone with severe mental illness a good time
I don't mind it if there's fast travel, but my issue is when the game basically forces you to grind in side missions to continue the story. I would much rather go through the story and worry about extras later.
I really want to play A Hat in Time, especially after Yooka Laylee left such a bad taste.
