RWBY Tuesday: Monster Hunter!

Posted on 08/28/2013 at 01:27 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Short but sweet pretty much sums up this episode. I could've used some more but this was okay since episode 6 builds up after it. Ruby's inner thoughts was a nice touch in comparison to Weiss's inner thoughts. Still I'm left with questions on Pyrrah's motivation to be on Jaune's team, just call me paranoid I guess.

That's odd, the most I remember about DBZ back in the day was that they'd have a full episode of just fighting, making it look like the one losing was indeed gonig to lose only for the next episode to show that the losing person wasn't really losing and it was back to more fighting again. At least the set-up isn't taking a long time given it's a web series, I'm sure that once the series is released on DVD in full it'll be a bit more tolerable.

Cliffhangers are good but they sometimes irk me when it's done in a way where instead of leaving you with (oh no what's going to happen to insert-name-here) they do a (oh great I have to wait a full week to see what happens next). It's why I can't watch the old Batman serials anymore. Tongue Out I am glad some more fighting is coming up though, we need to see Team RWBY in action!

Sounds like the SAT or ACT's that my area went thru, not really required to go to college/university but useful if your going to those that do want them. I only took one of the two but I don't remember which, I'm too poor to be smart :(

The park setting reminds me of some of the ones I saw when I frequented NYC back in the day. I never stayed long enough though for the police kept keeping an eye on me. Can you find video of this Nu-Metal band you speak of? i'm curious to what exactly their music consists of.

You know the odd thing about me is that I'm usually not the first to want a community experiance. it's why I don't do so well on gaming/hobby websites that have a sense of coming togther. Too much of a loner I guess, yet if I'm given a game like PSO/PSU or this game I can't wait to try to use all the community communication features to experiance what an MMO could truely offer.

I know it's rather odd.

You got me on this one. For some odd reason I'm able to enjoy pretty much any game out there reguardless if it was really considered a horrible game. Or I've avoided most of the junk so far that keeps me from really wasting my money.

The best I can do for you is games "that were not worth the price" category. Those games being "Turning Point: Fall of Liberty" and "Final Fantasy XIII". Though I won't say they were the worst games I've every played they sure were not worth the $60 I spent on them in my opinion.

What? Stop looking at me like that!

What is that world like? is it a world up in the clouds where players have wings? or is it in an enchanted forest.

If I had to play there I'd just say I'm a "wood nymph"....

Limited access even with early access? It makes me wonder how exactly SquareEnix was planning to maintain server worlds since the two I went to were completely different in geography and quests. That's alot more server activity than normal if each world plays a different geographical location. I guess even the might SquareEnix can't escape the server issues of the likes of Diablo III and SimCity, and that's not even with DRM is it?

That's a shame. That's one of the reasons why I enjoyed playing PSO/PSU back in the day. Just being able to meet new people in game, seeing if you got along, the thrill of the quest with an untested team/or questing with a loyal crew at your back. Sad that this game no longer requires it. Frown

I guess the only way to rekindle that fire is to take that extra step and join one of those *groan* guild groups. Not sure if I'll get use to it, but if I want to have that experiance in the past I guess I have to go the distance.

I've heard that stance from other gamers when it comes to MMOs. Though it makes me wonder how that is feasable given how they charge that fee to justify to pay for server costs. It's something I've always wonder if there is a major difference than just paying the fee or not with certain games whether they are free to play with microtrasactions or just free to play.

It's one of the issues I'm grappling with given how I'm sure I"ll get into PSO2 though it's free to play with microtransactions. I respect your choice and stance but after playing this game I have to say you might be missing out. Wink
