OKay - I'm possibly more stoked for this game than I have been for a game in a long, long time.  Don't mess this up for me Gearbox.  Don't you dare.

You know, I never got a chance to play a game in the series.  This and professor Layton have been on my radar for a while, but I just never got around to picking them up.

Nintendo’s Year End Sales Provide Some Impressive Numbers

Don't start celebrating too early guys.  Nintendo actually had to adjust their forcast from a 20 billion yen loss to a 60 billion yen loss - according to their latest financial fillings.  It's looking better, but Nintendo still has a lot of work to do to get into the black again.

Play it Jules, it's a pretty solid title with one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard.

Nintendo Details the Nintendo Network, New Wii U Functionality

It's about time that Nintendo joined the current console generation.  This is a good start, but only getting the basics down isn't enough.  They're going to have to show us something new with this Nintendo Network that will definitively make it stand out from what is already out there.

When life gives you lemons...

I've always been a champion of Beyond Good & Evil.  Ubisoft did the game a disservice by launching against their own Prince of Persia: Sands of Time amidst a jam packed holiday season (Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Final Fantasy X-2, Jak 2, SSX 3, etc...).

It's a game I picked up on a whim shortly after its release as it plummeted in price and I'd heard some good things about it in reviews.  I'm glad the series got an HD treatment, but it still doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves.  While I wouldn't be devestated if this game didn't get a sequel, it would be a shame if it continues to go unnoticed.

One clarification - the game breaking glitch is the main culprit in this .5 score.  If the developers were to somehow fix this glitch then I could possibly rationalize a score of 1 out of five or 1.5 out of five at the most.

Twisted Metal to Have Online Pass

I would have been more surprised if the game didn't have an online pass.  Sony has been pushing it on to all of their first party titles - a trend that looks to continue well into the future.

Twisted Metal has always been a multiplayer game, so I don't think it has that much of an uphill battle as far as that goes.  What it should be more concerned about is whether the franchise still has a place since it's been away for such a long time.

You know what still sucks about the deal though?  The game you get is Little Deviants.

One note on the Vita "scalping."  That pack you're talking about is $350, but includes the 3G model which is going for $300.  That means that you get that case, memory card and game for an extra $50 in addition to getting the system early.

So if you were planning on getting the 3G model it's actually a pretty good deal.
