I'm going to see War for the Planet of the Apes in about 45 minutes.

We did that for Smash Bros. on N64, but as Peach had grannie panties, it was really more for a luagh than anything pervy ... you pervs.
Chun-Li was hot though.
Titanfall 2 is the only FPS game I've beaten without cheating (I put Wolfenstein New Order on very easy to get it over with, cause I lost interest in everything but the story about midway through it). That one was really fun to me. I still feel the mech fights were based partly on luck, though. Some of it was learning patterns, but I definitely think there were times I won or lost based more on the luck of the draw.
Oh, it has GREAT action. I thought beginning to end, some are saying it was mostly the one-take looking stairwell shot at the end, but it's not lacking there.
Story and character motivation are what's difficult to figure out and therefore get into. For me, it's like Dunkirk in that respect, only I prefer this movie's visual style. And yes, I get that WWII is going to have a certain visual style, but I still like what I like.
Baby Driver was a very cliche story done well, in my opinion. I agree he wasn't exactly a hero, but I was ok to go along with the movie's perspective, since the minute you're rooting for him, you're just rooting for a lesser evil character anyway, even before he kills anyone.
Dunkirk just really didn't work for me on that level, because while I connected with the people on the boat (the movie really should have just been about them, in my opinion), I only thought the Tom Hardy plane stuff was "kind of cool sometimes," and the captain (or general or whatever) on the beach was the only real heart seen there, with everyone else doing the stiff upper lip thing a bit too well for me to connect to them.
I think Dunkirk is a great movie, for sure. It just didn't work for me personally because of some of the decisions it made.
I just need way more storage on my next phone. Current has 8GB and I constantly mess up thoe phone by taking pictures. I don't even have that many compared to most people, I guarantee you.
That Khaled song honestly just makes me want to listen to Santana, since the sampled riff is mostly what I like about it.
Sounds like you've had a rough time, but glad you're back on your feet somewhat!
If you can stomach style over substance to a degree ( they tried for substance, but it seems to be universal consensus most didn't "get it"), then I say go for it.
If you're not a John Wick fan or get annoyed easily by not being entirely sure what's happening, then matinee or rent.
It's a REALLY good one stylistically though, if the fancy theater has a nice screen or something.
Of course the JRPG games have the prettiest music.
I don't know that I like Star Fox QUITE as much as you think I do ... It's nostalgic for sure, but the song is something that stands out partly cause it clashes with the rest of the game. And I never said it was perfect, just a really good rails shooter with some questionable (re: underwater missions) choices in places. Angelo is right that N64 was my first system, though I have an equal amount of memories of SNES and some nostalgia for certain NES games like DOUBLE Dribble.
I'm genuinely curious why Julian feels that way about his dad. I know he's talked a little about it before, but ... Well, in any case, I hope Patrick is ok and may his friend rest in peace.
I like that Silent Hill singer and the Sinatra-style songs on this podcast. Maybe that's why the quiz I took said I was 45.
I feel as though Angelo's experience with that game he liked everything about but playing should give some insight to how I feel about JRPGs. I still need to play Firewatch... Actually, speaking of slice of life games, I wish I had thought about some of the licensed stuff from Life is Strange. I didn't cry, but probably welled up at parts. I dunno, video games just don't tend to have that effect on me; not because of manly man posturing. :p
I'm mad you didn't play the ending of the MGS2 theme, cause THAT's where the emotion comes in for me. I didn't know there was a reference to MGS1 THEME? I thought that theme was totally different. I'll have to YouTube it.
Clank sounds interesting. Not much stealth gameplay in board games.
