Yeah, it's just kind of an enjoyable guitar mix. Nice background music.
Yup, my flying saucer is on my bookcase next to War of the Worlds lol. Yeah, that basketball game was fun. No way to play defense, though, I guess I loved turning that pirate ship into an airship.
Yeah, branded could be done right. I didn't have any qualms when they started with Star Wars. It's just so out of balance now.
Bionicle was pretty cool. For a while I followed real closely with the comics they sent out with LEGO Magazine. I never did watch any of the movies or play the games though.
I've always been more of a melody guy over ambience or atmosphere but this was good stuff. I found myself particularly enjoying the two from FTL.
Great selections! Yoko Shimomura is definitely one of my favorite composers. Dearly Beloved from KH makes understatement an artform. I always thought that the menu music from Star Fox 64 is one of the most relaxing songs ever.
Good breakdown! I thought this episode was much better than #2 since the characters flesh out more. I think eps 2 and 3 should have been one long episode because that would have dealt with my gripes about #2 and made it about as long as #1. I hope all the eps aren't so short. But I still haven't watched #4 yet, so perhaps I'm speaking prematurely.
That's my favorite period of LEGOs, with the Spyrians, Ice Planet, and Space Police. I did like the UFO sets that came out several years later though. I still have the big flying saucer on my bookcase next to a copy of War of the Worlds lol
Can't go wrong with Batman! As a side note, we had a lot of action figures but the Batmen were always the good guys and everybody else--Spider-Man, Power Rangers, Scooby Doo, whoever--was the bad guys. Good times indeed! But yeah, mixing sets was a lot of fun. We had island natives piloting giant space mechs lol
