Looks like I'm a little late to this party but I'm finally catching up on some old posts. Hope that trip went well for you and you played a bunch of games Smile

I suppose it's a nice bonus if you're going to get both anyway but it sure seems like a random pairing of games.

I'm getting SMT IV this weekend and I'm trying to decide if I should get Fire Emblem too for the credit...

Spiderweb Software 20th Anniversary Interview with Jeff Vogel

Is this the first interview you've done? By and large I thought your questions were very good Smile

Time and Eternity Review

What a shame. This game looks so good and I love that you're not saving the world, but I don't get through many RPGs anymore because of how long they can be. There are plenty of better ones I can play.

Scourge: Outbreak Review

When I first saw the title, I hoped this was a sequel to the GBA/DS game Scurge: Hive...then I realized they are spelled differently. Scurge: Hive was a great little retro action game that I'd heartily recommend. Scourge, however, looks like a generic mess. I'll be moving on now.

Spiderweb Software 20th Anniversary Interview with Jeff Vogel

Great interview! At first I thought this was going to be the guy that made the Exile RPGs in the '90s but clearly I'm thinking of someone else lol. I haven't heard of Spiderweb before but I think I'll pick up the Humble Bundle. Why not? My HB pile of shame is already massive lol. I like how Jeff Vogel in the interview keeps saying that he writes games. I'm not sure the game systems will be quite my cup of tea but I do love a good story, and it sounds like that's a major focus for him.

I'm curious how many people Spiderweb employs. Is it just him with contracted freelance artists or does he have a dedicated little team (like two or three people) that he works with all the time?

Where Were You in 1984?

In 1984 I was waiting patiently to be born. That was my older brother's year lol.

I love how the text in that Mario Bros. ad rhymes. It's like...why? Also, I guess that's the first precursor to Mario Is Missing Tongue Out

NES "Now Playing": Arkanoid (NES #156)

These Breakout-style games can be a lot of fun but often they become tedious, I think. Or maybe I just have really bad aim lol. I played Kirby's Block Ball for the Game Boy last year and really enjoyed it. It was challenging while still being quite forgiving (it's a Kirby game, after all) and brought a bunch of cool ideas to the table to keep things interesting, like having paddles on the walls and ceiling sometimes and its boss battles. Good stuff.
