BaD 2017.3: youtube research.

I appreciate that! I too find a lot of the commentary to be annoying, but once you start digging in you can find some really thoughtful and entertaining stuff. I used to have an issue with long form internet video (and I still prefer them under ten minutes), but now that I don't have cable I've come to appreciate longer videos that are well produced.

It will take me time to find my niche, and if I get more than 100 subscribers I'll be pickled tink. I hope that I can at least make me stuff look and sound good enough to make a great impression.

Yeah, I love the way Jeff will drop some video game knowledge just out of his head, and I definitely have that ability, too. I think it comes out during the podcast, especially when I can point out that those cult classic games that "everyone" claims to love was a total flop (looking at you, Beyond Good & Evil).

I'm sure it will take me some time to work out a format that I like. I'm looking forward to using the channel as a place to voice my thoughts on video game issues of the day, since we try our best to make Nerds Without Pants timeless and don't focus on news or bleeding edge releases.

Not in the game, but I believe they launched a mobile game to accompany the release of FF XV.

BaD #2 - The games we play

Posted on 02/03/2017 at 04:20 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I'll play just about anything with the exception of real time strategy and sports games. I dislike the former because of how hectic they are, and the latter because I don't understand most sports (I do own a copy of NBA Street for PS2, which is a rare exception). My favorite genre (if it wasn't obvious from the games I cover for PixlBit) is role playing, which is a bummer lately. There are so many great RPGs these days, and they're all so long!

Also a big fan of third person action games and anything with a good story coupled with fun mechanics. But I also love mindless action, which is why Doom was my game of the year by a wide margin.

Thanks for the advice. I'd been walking for about an hour a day before the double whammy of my nearly 2 month long depression and getting sick, but I have yet to get back to it. And I enjoy exercise, but it's so easy to stay on the couch once I've been there for a while.

I'll actually be talking about boogie in my blog today.

I admire your willpower. That's my biggest problem. I'll go get bad food and literally be sitting in my apartment with the food in front of me thinking "why did I get this? I had food at home, and I don't really want this."

You should really get checked out if that's the case. Take it from someone who avoided doctors and now have complications that could have been addressed if I had taken care of them early.

You might try yoga for cardio. The whole thing about DDP Yoga is getting an intense cardio workout with minimal strain on the body.
