BaD # 13- Hidden Gems: Kaze no Klonoa: Moonlight Museum

Posted on 02/20/2018 at 05:06 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Moonlight Museum is probably the only Klonoa game I haven't played.  I tried the volleyball game and didn't like it much.  If you want to play a good volleyball game, play SEGA's Beach Spikers on the GameCube.  I even imported Klonoa Heroes, a top down adventure game on GBA.  But I don't feel too bad about not playing Moonlight Museum since the other GBA Klonoa titles are practically the same thing.

Just a Quick Blog....

After I'm done with Lost Sphear, I'm going to tackle the Secret of Mana remake next.  I got the physical copy version at GameStop.

Glad to see you're still playing Pocket Camp!

Time Warped 1980 - Fishing Derby

Did you know it was Fishing Derby that coined the term, "The Shark Element" regarding challenge in games.  It's like a challenge you make yourself.  Risk vs. reward. Do you go for the small fish or get the bigger point fish and risk losing it to the shark?

I sitll think they should make a sequel to Pokemon Snap.

I liked the Wii, but I sitll hate that name.  A year after the Wii came out, I got a 360 and that ended up being my favorite console of that generation.

My brothers showed me Yakuza 0 and all I did was play Space Harrier and Fantasy Zone in the arcade and talk with the cute arcade lady.  Seems like an OK game to me if that's all I had to do. :)

Elite Beat Agents was a neat game.  I got it on sale at Wal Mart for 15 bucks.

One of the reasons why I didin't like Twilight Princess at first was because of the muddy brown smeary graphics.  But once I played the HD remake on Wii U, I liked it a LOT better.  Princess Zelda is awesome in that game, too.

I didn't mind the touch controls in the DS Zelda games, but I can see why others wouldn't like it and I do prefer more traditional controls, too.

I didn't get into Rock Band until LEGO Rock Band came out.  That was such a popular series.  It didin't seem like it would be a fad but I guess it was.

I hope you get a chance to play Okami someday.  That was my Game of the Year in 2006.

Now be nice to that cute arcade lady, OK?

While the questions were dated, when I played this on the Capcom collections, I still found it surprisingly fun.  Or at least more fun than I thought it would be.  I also like the Capcom character designs in it.

BaD #18: Nintendo Switch Data Transfer Impracticality

Posted on 02/20/2018 at 04:47 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Yeah one of Nintendo's weakest points is their online and data transfer functionality.  I really do love the Switch, but this is one reason why I sitll find myself playing my PS4 a little more right now.

Personally I think Kirby's Air Ride was better than Mario Kart: Double Dash.

Many of Activision's early games were great.  Even I had River Raid on the 5200.  The Activision Anthology was one of the best classic game compilations ever.  It even rivaled the PSOne Namco Museums!

Next time you fire up Activision Anthology, try playing my favorite 2600 game: Pressure Cooker.  But make sure to read the instructions first.  It's actually surprisingly complex for a 2600 game.  But once you know what you're doing, it's an amazing little game.

Samus Returns was my favorite 3DS game of 2017.
