Vesperia is a good rpg but the increasingly complex combat mechanics started to confuse me. I also think the characters in that game are great. Yuri, Rita,Estelle, and Judith stick out in my mind especially.
As for enjoying COD, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Granted, it's not my cup of tea personally but as gamers we're going to have different tastes. That's just the way it is!

Hey Brittany,glad you made it! I have so many blogs that there's no way I'd be able to save em all. Like you I figure it's best to start fresh.
I'll probably end up picking up the special edition of Dragon's Dogma. It looks right up my alley! I still have to finish Kingdoms Of Amalur at some point though. That game is HUGE!

If I get Halo 4 I'll let you know ASAP. Right now I'm going through RE 6. I understand the criticisms leveled against it but it's still a rather fun action/thriller 3rd person shooter. (Even if the story is nonsensical at best)
Asheville is a pretty good city. Rather low on crime though I do have to put up with hobos spanging for change once in awhile just so they can get their drink on. lol.
There's a rather nice indie music scene here and even a few places for the table-top rpg crowd.
I can't say I'm "extemely active" in the gaming underground around here but there's the potential for some fond nostagic experiences,Jesse!
Congratulations, Jesse! I'm sure you'll be a good dad so don't sweat it! As for "the big dawgs" I can personally say I don't need a game site to provide "cutting edge mainstream news" all the time. If anything, 1up was the opposite of all that noise yet we all loved the site. Just keep being yourselves, be honest, and be creative. Lastly I like seeing more obscure games getting front page coverage. Being an odd duck gamer I tend to usually gravitate towards the sleeper gems.
