Dual Heroes

I like that the angry virtual gamer girl has a smiley face tattoo. Aside from that, this game seems, I dunno, abysmally boring. You train a robot by attacking it, and then don't really use the robot ever again. That makes sense?

What's most disappointing here is that I never found out the robot's blood type.

This is terrible! He's stolen the Megavitamins!

I can't believe you played Doom on a 32x. What else did you play on it?

Donkey Kong Junior: Part Two

Donkey Kong Jr. was actually a playable character in Mario Tennis for the N64. I don't know if he appeared in anything later than that, though.

The lady duck is Daisy Duck!

Here's the real question: Better or worse than Epic Mickey? Taking a look at the in-game visuals, it seems about on-par, I'd say.

This type of collect-a-thon gameplay can be fun in short bursts, but like Kathrine says, picking up from the middle of a save file can be pretty difficult, since you'll have little indication of what's been done and what hasn't. There were a few times I picked up DK64 after I initially beat it, each time to find I had no idea what I was planning to do. It's too bad that was the case.

Where did PB & Jason go?

I'm alive. Masters is incorrect, I'm "behind" in schooling in some ways, it's Bachelors.

But more accurately, the stall out and missingness has to do with my job. It's shiftwork w/ a 12-hour shift, and I've basically been having to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to do it, which has left me exhausted and ready to fall asleep come traditional PB & Jason recording time so I've just been absent.

Something I haven't discussed much yet, so it may be too early to say, is that PB & Jason could begin an alternating schedule. Another PixlBit staffer has expressed interest in taking the off-weeks, so that podcast could become it's own thing, or it could fall under the banner of PB & Jason, where I do every other week and he does the ones missing. I think. Like I said, it hasn't been discussed much, but it could be happening!

Issue 130: In Which There is Absolutely No Mention of Disney Epic Mickey or Scribblenauts

On a side note, considering my new job has a somewhat odd schedule and 12-hour shifts, PB & Jason is probably best to go live on Thursdays. So heads up, PB & Jason is now a Thursday release. Hooray? Boo? Who knows!

A Little Bit of Gaming, a Pile of Shame

I have reached the opinion that there is rarely a good reason to buy any Epic Mickey game. A bad camera barely scratches the surface of issues the game has.

If you buy into PlayStation Plus, that's an option. Not a great one, because you lose everything if you unsubscribe, but it's still an option.

I think Sony and Microsoft both know the "Wow" isn't going to be in the graphics. They want the infrastructure, the social engineering, and their back-end stuff to sell the consoles. Except you can't advertise those features. You can't show those off, I know. I suspect Microsoft and Sony expect these benefits to grow apparent to the end-user.

I have a few questions about that: Will the end-user be aware of these features? How long will it take?
