I definitely agree the fourth and fifth lose some of the momentum but a lot of great events still occur. I read that the fourth and fifth were originally going to be one book but GRR Martin didn't like how much detail he had to leave out so split it (among other reasons). That would explain the number of chapters which don't really progress the overall story arc. I'm hoping the sixth book comes on in the next few years but unlikely. My other worry is that he somewhat rushes the last two novels (even if unintentionally) so that the HBO series doesn't have to play catch up. I'd probably suggest reading a synopsis of the last two book releases if you never plan on reading. It may just be enough to pull you back on board for the next one.

Of the three, the comics are my favourite and different enough that it'd be worth your while to read. The movie skipped over a lot of plot points from the comics to fit into one film

I'm hesitant to recommend it to you if you haven't read all the books. They don't hold back so full spoilers without warning. I'd say hold off for now unless you don't care

I read the books so knew what was coming obviously but I thought they depicted it well. Super fucking gruesome though. I don't want go into too much detail here for fear of spoiling for others. We should start a song of ice and fire forum post though if enough people read it

I enjoyed the game. First PSN game I got actually. From the sounds of it though I didn't play enough to unlock everything

I really like the movie but am so enamored with the comics I'm not exactly unbiased. The sense of humor suited me perfectly at the time but I can see why you would "meh" it 

Interesting read.

The PSX was my first console so it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

The sad thing is I know i'm missing out on some interesting stuff. Oh well, in this case too much is way better than too little
