Yeah Gaplus doesn't get enough love. They used to have it at the Pizza Inn near my house when I was a kid.
I THINK there's also a Rolling Thunder 3 on consoles as well.
Everyone says that Midway made these Pac-Man games without Namco's permission, but I think there's more to it than that. If Midway really was breaking the rules, Namco could've swooped in and stopped them, but they didn't. Probably because Midway's Pac games were making them money, too. So I don't think Midway is entirely at fault. I think both companies made boo-boos. I still wish Namco would swallow their pride and get the rights to Jr. Pac and Baby Pac, etc.
The surprising thing about that Mystery Dungeon Druaga game (called NIghtmare of Druaga), is that it actually came to the US! Another game that had a big Druaga cameo in it was Tales of Destiny. There was a secret dungeon that was all 60 floors of the original arcade Druaga game!
Yeah I knew that "Kissy" from Baraduke was once Dig Dug's wife and mother of Mr. Driller. I didn't mention it in my blog because otherwise my blog would've been WAY too long winded. Do you know how "Kissy" got her name? She would get drunk at parties and kiss everyone. Another thing that I didin't mention is that Dig Dug has THREE sons! There's Mr. Driller, his estranged son Ataru, and the third brother is claustrophobic so he doesn't go underground like the others. But you can see him pulling Mr. Driller out of the well while piloting the helicopter in the games.
I don't think the Tales games fit in the main Namco universe. Most of the games in the big Namo universe are science fiction games, so not all games fit in that same time line. I do know that Ridge Racer is in that same timeline, though, because the Ridge Racer lady, Reiko Nagase, has a sister in the Ace Combat games named Kei Nagase.
Man I know WAY too much stuff about Namco lore. There's probably something wrong with me...
