Capcom is really not happy with Mega Man.
Capcom is really not happy with Mega Man.
Nick's already working on that one, JD.
I feel like this is a pretty lame use of resources. I could have sworn GoldenEye Wii players and reviewers mostly just thought the gameplay didn't hold up to modern day FPS titles and that this game didn't capture the spirit of the original either. Oh well.
And I just.... mentioned this rumor in PB & Jason when I recorded it last night. Looks like I was too slow.
Capcom promised a few things as DLC in the first MvC3, like Spectator Mode, that they didn't deliver. I'm not upset that there's an Ultimate MvC3, but I'm a little annoyed that they didn't follow through with their own promises.
Firebrand sure makes for an odd choice, though. Incredibly accurate rumor (by the fellow that leaked the initial game's full roster and the fact that this game was to be announced here) says that the 12 new characters count the two DLC ones, if memory serves correct. Does that mean there's only six new characters left?
I'm a little disappointed at Capcom for not getting into real specifics about the reasons why this was cancelled. The prototype version was slated for release back at the launch of the eShop, and for a while, it was mysteriously pushed back. Likely, that demo/game/whatever it was meant to be was completed, so for Capcom to fore go launching at least that, it must mean it was low quality and would hurt their brand, would confuse consumers, or perhaps someone high up at Capcom just doesn't like the Legends franchise.
It's hard to say, but I really don't respect this decision from the information presented to us, and I think given the Q & A found on the blog, Capcom doesn't expect many of the game's early followers to respect it much, either.
Based on my E3 experience with Bastion, this is a day one purchase for me. Hooray!
Not only that, I fully intend to PlayBit it, and how!
Relevant: These two have now been separated, and are available on-demand, not just through our active LiveStream channel.
It'll be about ten or fifteen minutes until we get this thing started. Sit tight until then!
In the Green Lantern game that's kind of a tie-in with the movie, it looked like the constructs were all pretty much pre-made, and the title was a brawler. I didn't watch it long at E3, it looked a little... not great and it was about to be in stores, anyway.
Looks like in this case, players don't get the actual rings, but rather, they play alongside lantern characters.
Just to be clear, I had a bunch of fun with Trenched, but I really felt with the bizarre, but frequent multiplayer glitches, I couldn't give it 4/5 stars. It definitely would have earned more from me if the story was a bit more fleshed out and there was more variety with the end-game weapons.
