Yeah, I was fortunate to be able to download it on the 'ambassador' program (I was one of those schmucks who paid full price on release) but the 20 free downloads was nearly worth it. Typical Nintendo pulling it out of the bag last minute!

What an awesome bout of games you've been playing! I liked DK64 but it always feel besides Banjo Kazooie and SM64, I need to dig that one out again. F-Zero games are always amazing, though the GBA version is just too drifty for me, as for 1080 I LOVE THAT GAME, I'm not even a big snowboard fan (though I'm sure if I could afford to do it in real life that attitude would change)
They improve cognitive abilities and spacial awareness as well as reaction times, (FPS are really quite good for this, especially in high competition like COD). With new play mechanics and increasingly more complex AI I imagine there is also a case for developing emotional intelligence (in the right game/ setting of course) from simple concepts like 'Hero or Villain' (cause and effect) to more adventurous/ complex scenarios in games such as Mass effect. To top it all off lots of games have the ability (or perhaps the potential) of developing real life skills, it's not difficult to see how games like Guitar Hero could progress into learning real life skills in a more inspirational way - imagine getting a one on one lesson from Ozzy Osbourne!
P.S I almost forgot, As an art teacher I have actually used Minecraft in my lessons when teaching children about Architecture, the simple design and ability to use 'easy to control' 3D programming has allowed them to give more spatial consideration when drawing up their final designs. It also helps hold their short attention spans too!
Thanks Tami
We've got a few more properties to look at today which is exciting but exhausting! Our shipping (well half of it) is currently with customs so we'll have to wait and see if they confiscate anything, fingers crossed!(thats assuming they can actually see anything under all that bubble wrap that I had to resist popping before we moved it)
Yeah it's definately an amazing place, so nice to feel the sun on my back! I ve seen a lot of similarities with the US which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned, but as you say lots of traditional Oz stuff too, being British I automatically earn the title of whinging Pom but in all honesty I can understand why, we do like to moan! Nothing to moan about Fremantle though, I was there yesterday, so lovely!
Warped has to be my favourite in the Crash series too, I must admit that I'm really liking console classics being released on handhelds, I can watch gaming evolve on my big screen and re-live my childhood on the go
Dude you can see the love you have for this game, a very personal story here and a good read, I never really played in arcades, at least on a regular basis, it must have been quite gutting to love a game so much, invest so much time and have to leave it behind until the next day! The only arcade game I ever pumped serious money into was house of the dead, me and my bro would bash that one whenever we could!
Bit coin seems like the 'numbers' you see on your ATM balance screen. Apparently I have a few thousand dollars in my bank but I'm not allowed to withdraw it all immediately, there was also a fiasco in England with pensions a few years ago, Gordon Brown raped the funds of thousands of people, people who thought they were going to get a nice figure sold short by up to £200,000 and no one was prosecuted! As far as I see it most money is virtual!
Yeah MW2 was a stretch too far for me as well, I'll always remember my surprise at the guilt I felt when I first hit a pedestrian in GTA4 as well, it was so realistic it took me by surprise and I actually found myslef driving carefully...... for a while at least.
I did draw that Tami, though it was over ten years ago now, it was based on a series of photographs that I had seen! I have to admit to being a bit of a fan of the Osprey, they are so majestic when they hunt!
Backwards compatibility isn't essential but I really am running out of room to keep all of my old consoles, I ve got over 10 now and the cartridge disks that accompany them are starting to spill over! I suppose it's just the way companies work, but it's usually just a ploy to charge you to owning them again, take my 3DS for example, I must have paid well over £100 just re-collecting GB, GBA, NES and Game Gear games! It is pretty sweet having them all on one system though so I can't complain too much.
