Lucky you! Do you think it's worth $400 and are you a RE fan?

Honestly, this was my main issue with the demo, way too hectic. Pausing the game allows for more accurate spell casting and enemy targeting.

Is this the FF equivalent of an AA meeting? I'm a FF fan and apologist as well. I've enjoyed all of the games and their spin-off media, as well as portable and mobile outings. I wanted to come here and talk about Kingsglaive, but since you are in a media blackout, I wont discuss it.

I watched the original trailer for Versus XIII over and over, and was just in awe of it all. I enjoy dark themed media, games/film/books, and I was pleasantly surprised that FF, usually colorful and bright was going all dark. The idea of translating FF into the 'real' world was so interesting to me. How would it all work? Is it crossing over into our actual world? The ending of Lightning returns saw the destruction of Pulse and the souls and heroes traveled to Earth. The true ending of FFXIII saw lightning getting off a train in what looks like France country side makeing it all seem like some kind of dream.

Anyway. Versus is dead/vaporware. We'll never know what the original Versus was going to be. FF15 is entirely a new game built from scratch and keeping some assets from Versus. However, watching Kingsglaive and the Anime makes me hopeful that the real world meets FF is still there. At this point I feel like I'm in a marathon and nearing the end. I usually wait a few months after release to get away from the hype and just enjoy games in my own bubble. I might do the same here. I've found that the community sometimes ruins things moreso than enhance the experience. I like Kingdom Hearts and most importantly they added a freeze mechanic to target enemies like in Dragon Age if you don't like the active battle, which I don't think was included in the demos.

The 3D camera w/ gamepad added a lot to ZombiU. It's also a FPS perspective with more combat, so I'm hopeful that RE7 VR will work. zombiu is also more a mix of walking sim, exploration, and melee. 3D free movement seems like the next logical step forward for Horror Adventure games honestly.

To former 1up members.

Hello! Former 1up member still here. In a way, 1up was sort of ahead of the curb in a lot of ways with podcast, forums, user generated content, etc. Its now spread across the internets like the force in Star Wars. Cool

I'm not sure either. But if you read the excerpt I posted about RE7 VR, it seems that they are using sound design and atmosphere to create scares rather than running around and making you dizzy. This is my main concern with VR right now, is the dizzying effect pukiness people have been complaining about with camera movement. It seems RE7 VR team is putting a lot of thought into creating a good creepy experience with creative means.

Makes sense. I have to start looking at BS1&2 being played back to back from now on. I get what you mean about waiting on a final release, (No Mans Sky), but I honestly really enjoyed Type 0 so I feel like ff15 is in good hands.

I recently played through Bioshock 1&2 and what I recall reading online is that the remakes are pretty similar to original in terms of quality. I played on PC with high settings back in the day so I might be mistaken, but I honeslty feel like Bioshock 1 at least is worth a yearly replay or revisit because it is just so gosh darned good. Also, are you not a FF15 fan? I've been waiting like 15 years for that release. Aren't you the least bit curious?

I don't mind hot weather. Heat waves that are like 100+ degree weather is the worst of it but usually lasts less than a week or a weekend. Its always hot in S Cali.
