Yeah, I cut the swearing, polished it up, rewrote a section and made it a little less offensive, but it is essentially the same article.
Immaturity is fine. I'm far from mature myself. They problem is, there isn't enough games trying to aim for a more mature audience. I mean you have some: Bioshock, Spec Ops: The Line, Silent Hill 2 etc, but for the most part it's just blood and sex.
Sequels should have probably been on this list... I didn't even think of that. I sort of touched on it in Aesthetic Obsession, with the rising cost game development leading to publishers wanting to play it safe, but I could have gone a bit deeper with it.

Not really. Either extreme is a bad thing.
The mass effect thing annoyed me greatly because there were people like yourself who really enjoyed the ending. The outcry against it was insanely selfish, as not only were they saying that their tastes were the only ones who mattered, they were also spitting on the faces of a company who gave them their beloved series, three games that they thought were near perfection, but because they didn't like the ending all that didn't matter. Some gamers make me sick honestly
Yeah, I beat FFXIII too. To be fair, most of that was because the soundtrack lulled me into a stupor, and everytime I got angry at something, the music would play and I'd think "maybe things will get better if i just keep playing..."
