Honestly, there are some pretty cool bits with Joker/Batman/Harley that get spliced in to the move which was exciting to see. I would have loved to see a whole movie starring the three of them and I was a bit peeved that it felt like a trailer for another movie that I really wanted to see was shoe horned in like that. Still cool to see Batman chasing Joker and Harly in Batmobile. Also, I've seen every RE film in theatres and I'm not ashamed. If it weren't for the RE material, I'd probably still watch them. They are pretty ridiculous though! 

I hadn't read the Preacher comics before the show. The thing with the show is that it shows likeable losers meandering through a shitty little town without any real direction, which I cannot say I've really seen before. It feels like short stories sewn together in the "day in the life" of shitty town. Twin Peaks comes to mind. At the heart of Twin Peaks there is a murder mystery investigation that moved things forward, but the show was also about the oddball inhabitants of the town, followed their daily lives like a soap opera and this "Otherworld" existing underneath the surface of an otherwise seemingly innocent suburban town. At times Preacher seems like a lucid nightmare. I stopped caring about the point of it all and just took it all in. I actually was pretty shocked with the violence on the show. I was surprised it even aired on TV at times. Like a guy got his dick shot off and he wandered around with it in his hand. Eww! 

Also props for bringing up Cannibal Corps. As for Suicide Squad, I definitely cannot defend the soundtrack choices. I particularly enjoyed the Harly Quinn performance and the few glimpses of her transformation and relationship with the Joker. It is cartoon level shit, but it is what it is, Harleys origin began in a cartoon.

A lot of summer blockbuster movies are bad, but people seem to enjoy them regardless of quality and I didn't see that much of a difference with Suicide. It has a formulaic safe plot towards the middle and end, like it could have been any other summer action/war film ever except with odd DC characters. I wasn't expecting a Nolan-esque Dark Knight here.  

The last RE film was very strange. The whole thing took place in simulations of previous films. It was a twist on 'It was all a dream'. The main characters name is Alice, so it's fitting. There were also all these clones of Alice, like each one represented a 1up in a game. Very weird indeed. Also Ada Wong.

Yep. I even liked Hunters and the Pinball game on DS. Other M had fine 2D parts, but story and 1st person combat was ...meh.

Do you like that new Super Pacman DX or whatever it's called? Championship Pacman?

Does KOTOR2 have better story/gameplay than 1? Do you need to play 1 to enjoy 2? Its a pretty high praise. I've mostly ignored that game for some reason and I love SW. 

That soundtrack! I love the character and art design too. It felt very cool at the time.

I cant break games down that closely since I've been playing games for a long time and play a lot of them on many different platforms. A lot of games I enjoy are part of series where they more or less play the same. I can't imagine a personal list that would not involve a resident evil game, a silent hill game, castlevania game or a souls game.

I liked the music. Its a cross of orchestrated, electronica and rock with japanime music vocals. I posted a highlight vid on whatsacows music blog and he didn't care for it. Chronicles X is basically the same game on wii except nicer visuals and open world design and fetch quests in place of the linear directed story that was on Wii. Its more of an endless type of experience focused on gameplay, and if you didn't like the combat on Wii, you wont like it here. It's the same combat system. 

Chron X has plentiful Fast Travel warp points. It is one of the incentives to explore early, rather than later. Your first major, and long running objective is to drop probes on the continent on designated points. Once you do this, a fast travel button will appear on the gamepad screen, which always displays the world map, and you can just warp anywhere you've visited before at the touch of a button. You will be walking A LOT, but fast travel makes it easier. Grinding is essential, so you'll want to walk around and fight everything anyway. 

Also, I saw gameplay footage of Friday the 13, and I don't know? Stalking teens at camp and brutally killing them just unnerved me. I don't mind violent horror themed games when it's gamey, but hunting/stalking helpless people and brutally murdering them just feels revolting to me. I will not be playing that. eww.
