I kind of invision him taking a more strategic role. Adding / removing super powers, altering in game levels and content, that sort of thing. That might be a little too RPGish for a Spiderman game though, but then again, RPG elements are in everything these days.
I aggree with the VIta argument. I recently had a brief hands on with one, and while I have no reason get one any time soon, the hardware is impressive. Should a decent library appear, there's no reason for it not to eventually succeed.
Did you accidentally call the featured Pokemon on Black and White 2 Q*Bert? That may have been the most amazing mistake ever. Q*Bert would be the most awesome Pokemon in history! Make it happen Nintendo!
Is that a native tommahawk? I wonder where they're going with this... I haven't played much of the series, but have firearms had any play in them? If they handle those in a period appropriate manner, they'll be only accurate at a pretty close range, unreliable, and LOUD. There's so many great things that can happen here. This is honestly the first time I've been intrigued by this series, and I might actually look into this one.
I really hope there's some sort of package they release with Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite. I doubt it, but I lost my copy and want a new one! This game was so important to this console generation.
Do we know if Activision had any say in this?
I think this was a very wise decision by Nintendo. The liberties the game takes with the Biblical story of Isaac would be offensive to any Bible-based religion, while the presentation of Isaac’s mother is blatantly Christophobic (if that’s even a word.) The designers could have easily chose almost any story to frame this game, but elected to use one that was tasteless and would be guaranteed to offend. I can’t find fault in any publisher refusing to publish a game that would so easily alienate potential customers.
It almost sounds like your review was more interactive than the game was. This is a really clever way to score a game. I like it.
I ended up giving the game 2 1/2 stars, which, according to our review scale, means it's worth a rental to me. That's about right, so I guess I'm proof of concept.
This ticker is still climbing crazy fast. It's gone up 2 grand in the last hour! I bet they hit 3 million before this thing is over. This may sound strange, but if I were Tim Schafer, this would scare the crap out of me. That's a lot of people paying very close attention to how someone spends a ton of their money!
Oh come on, does anybody know how to launch a handheld anymore?
