The Data is in: '97 Books

Posted on 08/21/2015 at 02:08 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I think I'd love that book. I actually do hear and focus on lyrics as well as the music. I used to know about none of the words to my favorite songs, but I've become increasingly interested in interpreting song meanings as I've grown older.

"I switched to bass to avoid all the competition" - I kinda wish I had a bass. My fingers are so small I often have trouble playing my friends' though.

Was Harry Potter in the states in '97? I remember my aunt getting me into those (well, trying; I actually got into them by the third one), but I thought they didn't get across the pond 'til '99. Guess I'm wrong, since I imagine you looked up release dates for this.

I was 7 in 1997, but I think this is around when I REALLY started to pay attention to media, espeically since as I mentioned it was the year where I bought my first CDs. It's interesting what was out then I didn't realize. I am so looking forward to your films post.

Yeah. It was honestly my favorite game from Sony's press conference.

Always good to include a news segment.

I remember thinking Doom 64 was so cool when I rented it. I've told you my feelings on Quake II. I loved both SNES and N64 Clayfighter games and loved the sense of humor and animation. Interesting how that Horizon game coming to PS4 is so much like Turok conceptually. I dug the adventure aspect of DDKR as well. Duke Nukem 64 was one where my brother would play it in our room despite me not being allowed to play it. Especially since it was on my N64, that got me mad. Hexen I hadn't heard of at the time, but it sounds interesting.

Add me on PSN: JimBeamHortonWho, real name Super Step, and I'll gladly play you in a game if I'm on. I actually platted it not too long ago.

Clinger was actually very athletic when we had him.

Catara is actually even more of a lover than he was. She is very social. Far as I'm concerned, my cats give me about the same affection as dogs I've met, are funny and playful, and are easier to take care of/take care of themselves. Win-win-win.

Top 5 games is a good one. I've actually stopped hoarding cheap games except for Humble Bundle, but that would be a good topic. Not sure I'd know any lesser known soundtracks that well.

I didn't know who they were either, but I really liked the song "When I Grow Up" when I heard it in the Big Daddy movie and previews.

We had the BBC sessions at the radio station. And I love all the ska stuff you mentioned. One of my favorite genres.
