I'll be getting this, but I have Saints Row IV: Re-Elected pre-loaded on my PS4 for tomorrow.
I'm glad somebody enjoyed it! I am very proud of this episode, but I think it may have been too long for most people.
What comics did you end up grabbing? I went ahead and bought Sex Criminals volume 1 after this show and really loved it. I'm a total fan now.
They were really, really cool. Within minutes they felt like part of the crew. I did apoligize to David after the show for my fanboy squeeing. Just couldn't help it. I mean...Silicon Knights, man!
I think my surprise for Ace Combat was that I've never known Angelo to play those types of games. Also, I am always surprised when a new Ace Combat game comes out. We sold a gajillion of the PSX games, but it always seemed like a series that should have stayed back there. I have the same feelings about the Armored Core series, and those are games that I actually played and loved.
Yeah, that Rearmed soundtrack was pretty fantastic. I should go back and try to finish that one.
I actually enjoyed Homecoming, but I don't remember much of the soundtrack. Of course, that tends to be the thing with Yamaoka for me. I ADORE listening to his music, but in the midst of the Silent Hill games it can get lost sometimes.
I only played the demo for Prey, but when you mentioned that scene it was like I was seeing it again live, because it is so pitch perfect and memorable. I also love that you can pick up a broadcast of Coast to Coast AM with George Norry once you first get on the ship.
Any song that uses Nightwish is a game of the year contender for me, even if it didn't come out in the correct year.
I rented it on PSN. It was about as good as I was expecting. Which is to say that the movie itself was decent, but the chemistry of Rogan and Franco is still damn entertaining. Also: Lizzie Caplan.
This was a slow year for me. Probably only played about 20ish games, and was underwhelmed by most of them. Not sure if it's an indication that games were bad this year, or I had a rough year that kept me from enjoying them, or I need a break.
Dragon Age has caused me to seriously question if I still want to do this.
Thank you for your kind words and amazing information! The cancer treatment was a huge surprise for me, but it makes total sense. It kind of reminds me of an older player in my Final Fantasy XI linkshell. He actually turned 50 while we were playing that game, but he was very sick and in need of a kidney transplant. Sadly he never got it and died after a couple of years, but I think playing that game and socializing with our linkshell kept him hanging on longer than he would have without it. I still miss our conversations to this day.
