Ganondorf figurine made getting WWHD a lock. Damn you, Nintendo!
I'm looking forward to playing it again though. It's been a decade, so it's due time I went another round with Wind Waker.

If you couldn't tell from my gushing review and avatar, I really like Pikmin. It's a great series with a ton of personality. If you have a Wii, you might want to check out the New Play Control versions of 1 and 2. They are infinitely better with the Wii Remote, just like this one.
So yes, I definitely recommend you check out something in the series. 3 is probably the most polished from a gameplay perspective, but like I mentioned, it feels a bit rushed at the end.
I won't argue for a minute that the HDD it comes with is big enough. It's not. However, I'd much rather plug in an external HDD because it's much easier and space/power strip constraints aren't a concern for me.
That being said, I don't think the Wii U's approach to storage is a step back. I do think they undershot the amount to include on board, but supporting any off-the-shelf external HDD is, in my opinion, a much more user-friendly option.
I'd argue that the external HDD is better than messing with installing an internal one. Plug it in via USB and you're done. Seems pretty easy, especially when you can buy literally anything off the shelf to get it done. Plus you can avoid the smaller 2.5" HDDs which typically have less space for higher prices.
Oh man, didn't even think of the retail impact on Xbox One. "I had one of those Xbox One doohickeys 10 years ago! Why won't these new games work on it!?"
Gaming companies suck at naming things. At least Sony has kept it simple (if only a bit generic).
If it's a game that just came out, I'll buy new. If it's something that's been around for a little while and has deep discounts, I'll buy used.
The $5 difference isn't enough to bother with a used copy at the start, but down the line, the price differential between the two grows too vast to ignore. Factor in sales and other discounts and the used copy becomes a much better deal.
That being said, I don't buy many games when they first come out. I just don't think many are worth $60 + tax, which is quite the investment when you have a family. I bought Pikmin 3 new and it'll be one of the only games all year that will get that treatment.
Cool! Glad you're going to check it out. Be sure to share your thoughts after you "dig" in!
Nothing like a good pun! But yeah, this was a really great game. It's this kind of stuff that makes me really love the 3DS eShop.
