That driving game sounds like a Cruisin' game, probably Exotica. I would assume it got a PC port, but maybe it was just a rip off. Cruisin' Exotica had a level like that.

Hahaha... Sorry about that. I was a bit harsh. The list is pretty good. I never played Star Tropics when it was new, but playing it with fresh eyes today exposes a lot of its problems. I am sure I would feel differently if I had some nostalgia for it. That said, ignore my rude comment. I'll make sure to check out more articles on the site.

I always think about trying one of these when I see it, but never do. Now I'm glad.
It's a good one to have in arcade form since the joystick feels much better when circling than a typical controller/stick.
Have you played the cockpit version of Star Trek with a vector monitor? It is surprisingly fun!
