I completely agree. Video games are no longer just for kids; in fact, in many ways they're MORE for adults now. Anyone can play games. It should not be looked down upon; it's a legitimate form of entertainment. Thanks for you input!

Yes, people like sports because they're fun, and likewise people like video games because they're fun for them. It's as simple as that. Thanks for your input. 

I'm with you there. I enjoy watching football, but that's the only sport I watch, really. I try to keep the whole gaming thing to myself too. I only open up about it if someone mentions it, or I discover a like-minded gamer. Thanks for your input!

Thank you for your personal view. I feel like there's a lot of misconceptions about games out there. The industry has changed A LOT since the 80s. Back then, it WAS aimed at kids, but certainly not anymore. 

My oldest brother actually learned to read partly from playing RPGs when he was young; he struggled in reading for school, but playing games like FF6 helped him. So video games CAN help people in certain areas like that.

Excellent points, thanks. Video games are simply another medium. I like to think of it as a hobby, and a hobby can be literally anything.
