Eh, you're one of our main commentors! If someone else who's joined PixlBit decided to post more frequently, maybe I'd cut you some slack.
Absolutely, it was. And that's what surprised me. The CD did it no where near justice, and while I'm not fond of the individuals making the decisions, everything came together incredibly well. It would be well worth the money to attend a local VGL concert for anyone who likes games and music.
I third Kathrine's motion.
It would sell more copies that way, I'd bet.
What did Hillhouse do this time?!
There's a lot of good stuff here, but I'm a little apprehensive to hear about DLC being planned this early on. Hopefully Capcom makes it all worth it. I will say for only $10 more, that special edition looks very attractive.
I'm still gambling that we'll see a lot of the Mario Hoops 3 on 3 unlockable characters like Birdo in the game. I think things would round out well with additions like... her.
I couldn't get all the way through Sonic and the Secret Rings. I wanted to play Sonic and the Black Knight before I wrote the review, just to see if any gameplay elements carried over, but after playing a bit of Unleashed, I could see that the game directly relates to it.
Anyway, yeah, my impressions of Sonic and the Black Knight will likely appear on the forums, but from what I've read about it, it does sound to be better than Sonic and the Secret Rings.
Edit: Also, browsing Sonic Retro, it looks like a lot of my sentiments mirror what the folks there are now saying. I'm not claiming to know all that much about their community, but am just saying some of those folks seem to have some issues with the game, too.
With the GameStops I've been to, I could see this not working out right at about half of them. It's not a bad service, though, akin to calling up a rental store and asking them to put something aside for you back in the day.
I'll have to test it out next time I want a game that GameStop won't arbitrarily bump the price up $5.
