If you show me a picture I can probably tell you. If it looks more detailed, it's the Smash one.
I never jumped on the Tiger handheld game bandwagon either.
I borrowed FF Adventure twice from a friend. The first time I didn't like it, but after I beat Secret of Mana, I borrowed it a second time and appreciate it much more.
Yeah I plan to have a PlayDate Update blog sometime in October and one again in November.
I don't know much about Kindle, but I do know the PlayDate screen is a lot better than the Game Boy's. Technology has gotten so much better. Honestly I was never impressed with the Game Boy until Link's Awakening came around.
That's cool they made a Chronicles of Narnia game. I loved the books as a kid. Too bad they didn't make all the movies.
Right now I'm trying to wrap up Live A Live. I'm also playing Pac-Man World Re-Pac and dabbling in Kirby's Dream Buffet. Also reviewing a lot of games, but the only really good one I've played in a while is Tinykin. Get that one if you like quirky GameCube 3D platformers like PIkmin and Chibi Robo.
You know just the other day I was talking with family about those old black and white portable TVs that had a crank on the side that you used to power it up! Of course, since the PlayDate has a non-backlit black and white screen, it has a very good battery life!
My copy of the Cowabunga Collection just shipped from Amazon, so hopefully I will get it soon. And of course you know I'll write a blog about it.
Back then, I didn't get into the TMNT toys or cartoon that much, since I was a little too old for that (or at least I thought I was), but there were a few of the TMNT games I sure did like. My podcast's title even comes from my history with the TMNT games!
There is a real pinball game called Space Ship.
And there are two different King Dedede figures, you know.
