A2M Changes Name and Announces Two New Titles

That middle paragraph is just... weird. They gave up the name "Artificial Mind and Movement" for "bEHAVIOUR Interactive," which is arguably about equal in quality.

Then, their CEO says that "...the name isn't as important as what you do with it." So they get a terrible name, and then announce a sequel to a terrible game in Naughty Bear 2. Why hire a company to decide your company's name? Why not get your team together, your higher ups and all that, and get them to focus on the goals and characteristics of your company, creating a name based on that, instead?

Eh, oh well. Maybe their sequels will be better by large margins, all thanks to their mediocre name switch...

Bethesda Hits the $300 Million Jackpot in Vegas

I love the "abstract" line of the press release for this:

"Bethesda Softworks Announces Successful Launch of FalloutĀ®: new vegasTM "

I know they raked in millions and millions of dollars, but it got me thinking, what are the ways a launch can be unsuccessful?

Is it when it sells less than about 500 copies, a la Spyborgs, sure, but I don't even mean sales-wise. What could (or has) ruin(ed) the success of a game's launch?

I liked Strikers: 1945 much better.

While it seems like they're fundamentally different, the concept of playing using the shadows behind the objects is also executed in the upcoming Echochrome ii, which uses the Move. I figured it was worth mentioning here, just because.

It's worth noting that most, if not all of these games are on the PS2 and Xbox's Capcom Classics, a collection of some early Capcom arcade games. They haven't appeared on a Nintendo Console in this way before though. I'll probably keep my eyes on Ghosts 'n Goblins, just because it would be quite an accomplishment to one day defeat that seemingly impossible game.

Looks on par with Triple Throw Sports, to me. Maybe slightly better.

She already knew! With a hot commodity like Toy Story 3, you have to lock down your claim, otherwise, someone else will try to give the gift instead!

Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow Review

I could've written tons about what I didn't like about the game's stories, themes, characters, and locations, but really, the fact is, it's just terrible. At one point, you visit what is essentially a Poo world and fight poo snakes. No kidding.

The game's value really is only in the multiplayer. The story mode was just absolutely painful, through and through.

On a side note, the Best Buy employee I spoke with said that Sony ok'd them selling the Move on September 12th, five days before its official launch. I thought that was a bit weird, personally.
