Game Masters Exhibit, PS2 Revisit, and Banner Saga

That sounds like a caching issue in your browser. If your browser cached the page with the content looking a certain way and it reloads, it might pull from the cache rather than get a fresh copy of the information from the server.

Looks like OneDrive is probably adding the style stuff that's breaking the site and making the column drop down. It adds a div with a style that pushes the right box down. I could probably figure out how to sanitize the text in the paragraph and get rid of the styles of the sake of display on that page, but like I said, at this point I probably won't. I'll fix it up in the new version of the site.

Matt did email and I got the blog page fixed up. Looks like wherever you originally write these posts and then paste them in here it carries all sorts of styles that wind up breaking the site lol. It's not too tough to fix now that I know what's wrong, but I did edit your post to fix the styles.

I'd say I'd permanently fix it, but I'm rewriting the whole site, so I probably won't bother. Eventually it'll all change anyway. As far as the profile editing, let me know what error you're getting (you can PM it to me, if you're getting one). Otherwise, give me some more details and I'll see what I can do for a short term fix.

Iconoclasts Review

For some reason, I always like playing games like this more on a console. It was perfect as a handheld experience, which is how I experienced the whole thing.

And yes, outside of some of the cringe-inducing names and dialog, it's a fantastic little game that I think you'd like based on some of your past picks.

I suggest Fortune Street on the Wii. It’s a really great board game done as a video game and it stars both Mario and Square Enix characters! It’s a lot like Monopoly, but it has things like a stock market that really changes the way the game is played. I reviewed it some time back: http://www.pixlbit.com/review/479/fortune_street_review

I really thought I was going to like it more than I did too. I beat the game and played a good chunk of the bonus missions, but I have no interest in ever returning to this one.

Oh you're definitely near the end. Just truck on through at that point. May as well continue through chronologically.

With Crash 1 it probably depends how far you got. By the third island, every level requires extreme precision and controlling Crash is anything but precise. The bridge levels are especially frustrating and there's another that has no checkpoints (that I can recall) that's just brutal to get through.

The compactness of it definitely remains true through all three games, so it's likely that whatever you appreciated in 1 you'll appreciate a lot more in 3 and to a lesser extent 2.

I don't mind frustrating and difficult games, if they're "tough but fair". Crash 1 never felt that way. I felt like there was a level of perfection required that was just unreasonable given the control.

How I'd Design An Easy Mode For Dark Souls

These are some really smart changes that would totally preserve the experience. What I love most about them is that it would be great at teaching a new player how the series works with just lowering the bar a slight amount to make it a bit more forgiving and expressive. Any player could easily jump into the normal mode after that and likely be very successful and have the confidence to experience future games as the designers intended.

I feel like Dark Souls 2 did a decent job in this regard, having mostly turned off invasions on NG and made many of the bosses a lot easier. Plus they double down with the challenge in NG+ and give veterans what they want.

Great thoughts, maybe some ideas like these will make their way into Sekiro. Even though it's Activision, I know From is getting some assistance that might make some of their usual obtuse concepts a bit more clear for new players (which we all be when the game releases).

Looks like our opinions on the game are pretty similar! Wasn't into the backtracking or the kinda clunky controls. Glad it wasn't just me!
