It would be nice to have smaller unit. I just wonder if I'd have the room to break out my PS2 Slim since any new PS3 Slim wouldn't have PS2 playablity. I don't plan on buying much digital titles on my PS3 unless they are dirt cheap like the ones I've bought thus far. Plus getting the Fatal Frame Thrilogy on my PS3 digital was a must.

I don't htink I could go without a PS3 given the collection of games I have, along with not having played/beaten all of them yet. Plus there is my Top 11 Octoberween Game picks of this year to consider. Though going all digital would be tempting (like I am kinda doing on my Wii with VC Neo Geo titles) I don't thik I'll retire any hardware systems just yet. Either way the decision has been made.

I'm giong to eventually take my unit to get it fixed 3rd party, if it can be fixed that is. But even if they are able to revive my Phat B/C PS3 I'll probably move it down in the basement with Game Rig 2. Upon reading the history of those systems I doubt I'd use it again as my primary system on Game Rig 2, ver. 2.0.

I am kind a reluctant to get a Super Slim seeing how it's built. Quite pltasticy and that sliding door is rather odd. I'm sure that was done to save costs on the drive itself but if it doesn't help the build quitly of the disc drive leaves much to be desired for me. But I've read that the chip set and air flow have been improved and it's whipser quiet like the newer Xbox 360 models. either way their's no going back now.

As for the systems diet, it's run the gambit of meaty titles to some sugary goodness to bitsize snacks of gaming goodness. I guess the limiting factor was the long bing game sessons either with disc based games or digital titles. Probably the heat didn't help much matters either given taht I don't have an AC running this summer.I do have my PS2 Slim so I'm debating if I need to reshuffle some systems on teh game rigs. We'll have to see.

I noticed that Sony is offering a PS3 Destiny bundle along with the others. Not sure though if I'd want a bundle though given I could get the digital copy of Destiny and then get a digital copy for the PS4 if I should get one down the line. I've been told to wait till later when the PS3's drop in price to make it worth my while in buying one. Either way this weekend the decision has been made. May gamerdom have mercy on my soul...

thanks man. take heed though. it seems the Phat B/C launch systems have a critical design flaw that sees this kind of thing happening eventually, along with any repairs being done not fully ensuring that the system wont' break again. I've read online that any units sent into Sony for repairs are either swapped for refurbished units or offered discounts for a new one.

If you dont' play it often or long enough you might beat the curve but only time will tell.

I've heard those stories too but for the most part it seems the Big N is consistant with me when it comes to hardware integrity. Looks like I might be getting a Wii U before I get anything else.

wow. everyone wants to have a code it seems. I should've paid more attention to what I saw on twitter.

I just wished I could've gotten into the capcom sale that came by on XBLA a few weeks back when I was on vacation. Still regret not being able to get some of those titles offered =(

No thanks. Not much of a fan of the series so I doubt a code granting me access to the demo would be well spent on myself. it's good it went to people would could truely enjoy the game. I see people on twitter begging for codes so there must be somethign to this game.

I have a friend who is just loving the DLC you speak of. It's the only reason why he keeps his 360 around after he got himself an Xbox One so I guess that should say something about the game you've beaten again.
