I love FFVIII, but I can totally understand why anyone would h8 the game!

Yeah, when I found out about that I think that was when I decided not to got out and insta-buy a 3DS. Eventually, when I'm making more money I guess.

Cool, so you actually played the original GB version of Link's Awakening. Not that there's much of a difference so I'm sure they are both equally great even without color!

I never played the original Silent Hill, but Silent Hill 2 was pretty awesome.

Oh yeah, those are Mario games are great too. I do prefer the original NG to NG Black. Black had a ton of great extra content, but it also added in a lot of cheap enemies and overall made combat a little too frequent, IMO.

I too am probably missing out on a quite a few gems on these platforms. Of course, many of these games like FFVII and Circle of the Moon have held their position for about a decade!

Hope you enjoy Vagrant Story. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it definitely was the best dungeon-crawling kind of game I've played.

Never played Skyrim although I wasn't into the previous Elder Scrolls games.

Soul Nomad is a pretty interesting choice. I've never played it, but if there's one thing I regret about this list is that there's not really any under-the-radar titles.

I used both versions of the PS2 and I like them both. I'd probably go with the slim though just because it's nice to have a small console when you have three set up to your TV!

Haha, yeah it was pretty easy for me because there's certain titles I always think of when I see a console. Granted, it's not too definitive and more of knee-jerk reaction.

Yeah, I don't think the game looks quite as good as some others (FFXII, MGS3), but it still impresses in some areas. The design probably holds even better.

I've considered buying a 3DS just to get Ocarina. I've never played that Master Quest and I am quite curious.
