I'm impressed you know Doom II so well, since I get stuck in FPS games a lot.
As for Knight, I think a lot of mechanics are from City, so maybe they are expecting you to know based on experience? It has been a long time since I played Arkham games.

I pretty much knew it was a joke when I saw the game title. lol
I do like Sonic Mania, but I definitely did not understand why it seemed to be the most-hyped game of its release year among my social media circles.
I'm about to be in a ZOOM meeting with one of my classes in 15 minutes, but I should have time to check the reviews out later.
And I have seen a lot of people on my Facebook who aren't usually gamers obsessed with Animal Crossing on Switch ... or maybe it's just the two or three people over and over again.
Also, you probably know this already, but a cool Easter Egg is you can play the Japanese/EU versions of all the games by changing the language settings. Differences are minor, but the box art in Japan is SO much cooler.
Hey now, not all of the south looks like the Wynewood Zoo, although Tiger King did apparently visit the Nacogdoches Mall (really a hallway with one or two businesses in it ... memes have been going around of its empty parking lot from before and after COVID-19) near where I live. Having said that, there are (usually rural) places in the south like Lufkin, TX that don't flouridize their water and it tastes nasty, so it's more about what is not in the water ...
I kinda want to get that free Taco bell Doritos Locos taco, but I also know by now they're probably out of them. Guess I'll find out.
In these times, I really need to get me an online gaming buddy, but I'm not really that into the FPS stuff that tends to get online play. Might be time to buy a Jackbox party pack.
I'm definitely getting the hang of some of them more and more though, and taking the CRT filter off seems to have made everything look a lot less dark on my TV and ... somehow improved the music? That or I'm just getting used to the Genesis's sound. I'll probably write a blog myself about it.
I actually just got a Genesis Mini and a lot of the games are too damn hard for me from jump. This one is no exception, as I love the presentation as much as you do, but to hell with that cat!
That sucks about the train sim. Actually sounds like an interesting game.
