I'll probably pick it up, but it's strange you mention the "maybe I'm too old" thing. I personally said the same thing the other day when I was playing lord knows what on the PS3. I thought, "Wow, if I played this a few years ago I would've thought it was great." Now, I think I'm also spoiled by things like Persona which pretty much blew everything else out of the water imho. xD

I think the key to making a "good cliched Jrpg" is that it has to be able to make fun of itself within a certain capacity. Thousand Arms is a great example. xD

I think I hit 16 yesterday. I did my quests out of order and I'm failing majorly at my duty quests for the most part. The cooldown on potions bites! xD
