Damn, I want Burnout to come back.
That controller is a little too wild to me. I still remember the Evil Dead chainsaw one for GameCube. Also too wild for me.

Sackboy DOES look like fun, hmmm ...
I think I remember that ICO ad. Was that in EGM? I miss that magazine. Now I get Game Informer monthly through my GameStop friend but I never actually get it in the mail like I'm supposed to.
Also, damn, these 2000s ads were really working that dark/edgy angle. I'm still upset they did that with Prince of Persia, even if throwing a Godsmack song on the TV ads and having the main character call a woman a bitch early in the game sold more copies. Blech.
Interesting. Did not know that about the translation. I'd be pretty upset too.
Having said that, the game definitely confused me when I rented it from Blockbuster back in the day, even made me cry cause it was my weekend rental and I was so disappointed cause I thought it was a demo (mostly cause I could not figure out what to do past a VERY early point).
I want to play through it on my SNES Mini cause it does seem really charming, but I think the QR code player's manual you can scan and access is just the vanilla manual and not the strategy guide that came with original copies IF I recall correctly (and I may not, it's been a while since my SNES Mini was hooked up to the TV).
I now remember I have Max Payne on PC.
We hoofed it pretty much everywhere when I visited, so ... Hmmm ...
For anything less than $1000 in Austin, I'll take it! I got pretty used to earning a median (for the country)) income in Nacogdoches and am VERY aware that will stop being my reality, so that cat can pee on whatever it wants really.
In all seriousness though, I'll be in Austin in July/August and would love to hang out (assuming you haven't left the state by then; my initial goal before they let my dumbass get a PhD was Maryland where my friend moved).
I'm just here to ask Julian if he needs a roomate for when I go to Austin this August, cause I need all the help with rent I can get. I'll be working on a PhD, so I won't bother anyone.
But also, go to Maryland. VERY easy to get to Baltimore, D.C. and Virginia all from a 30-minute Metro ride. Amazing. Loved that experience.
Thanks for visiting my home town of DFW, Justin. Hope you loved the super simplistic airport every out-of-stater loves more than their own children and I say that with zero sarcasm. None whatsoever.
I only have a PS5 and my ROG laptop as far as this gen.
