A lot of Switch games seem to be on the steep side. When I saw 30 for Cave Story I thought it was that 3DS remake... nope looks like the original game.

I remember playing through much of the first Velocity. Then when the second one came around, eventhough they added platforming elements, I couldn't be bothered.
oh dear. now I feel like I am horrible at the game. I hit 100% with over 500 deaths.
Yep, i am not going to disagree with you there
I agree about the difficulty. It is my biggest gripe with the game, I think the last time Quarble told me I was close to 200 deaths, if he is actually being truthful.
The bosses all are fair, but most of them took a handful of tries to find out thier patterns.
As I am listening, I cannot believe that I forgot The witcher 2. It's one of my favorite games, but it took me a while to finally play it. I ought it day 1 on the 360 and booted it up. I didn't even get through the tutorial section. A couple years later I did not knLow what I wanted to play and booted it up again and everything clicked.
I have the book as well. Can't wait to read it
retronauts did a neat episode about FF V. Their 'expert' guest wrote a book on FF V from Boss Fight Books. It sounds fantastic form a mechanics standpoint, but only okay on the story side.
It is a little unfair to say that BotW is not for me. I usually avoid openworld games, and the ones I do play I typically fall off by the 40 hour mark.
i finished up the shrines in the Korok forest. Have not pulled the master sword yet.
I normally would do what you are doing and supplement my time with indies, but there are so many AAA games that I really want to play from 2017. Mario being at the top of the pile.
I used the Gale power to finish off whatever towers I had left.
i decided to put the game down for a little while. I put 40 hours into the game, got all the towers, 50+ shrines, but only finished two of the beasts. I am so conflicted about the game because I don't think it's for me, yet I cannot stop playing it.... which is why I had to force myself to play something else.
