I don't know about you, but I WOULD and buy some of the games listened there. Not at those prices of course.
Looking at the year, I would say it was a very lacking year for the AAA games outside the Nintendo sphere, handhelds and indies. Of course, don't forget that gaming has had weak years like this and probably will always have as long as the medium lives, so the best is to simply ignore and keep optimistic, especialy when 2015 is nearly around the corner and that is shaping up to be a better year than this.
If it wasn't for some of the puzzles, Limbo would have easily entered in my favorites, but it's still an excellent game, especialy on the atmosphere and art.
I liked the ending honestly. From what i've seen, it's one of those endings that you have to give your own interpretation (marked spoilers coming). The most everyone seems to believe is that the boy and his sister (the girl at the end, which isn't a spoiler since the info for the game calls her the sister) died on a car crash (the window) and the boy is going exactly through Limbo and eventually gets to his sister, who I think just passed before. Another theory is that they had a treehouse accident, hence the derelict treehouse at the menu and credits.
Personally, I found it to be a simple all is a dream situation, maybe just showing he really loves her sister.
I really want to get Shovel Knight, but the current price doesn't convince me. I'm sure next year there'll be a reduction.
Reminds me of how Tumblr reacts to something they find "offensive" or "triggering" (read: not like or agree) and sometimes rally for a cause when the simplest option would have been to ignore it and not give attention. Hatred is one of those things. For me, if it's not hurting someone fatally or widespread, then just let it go, don't give something attention or it will never be gone.
Speaking of Hatred again, great to see it's been proven the devs are not Neo-Nazis. I think the person that made that false claim (a tumblr blog named fucknovideogames) must be feeling like a tool.
It's been a long time since i've played a Lego game.
I bought Child of Light last November, but I don't have the enerhy to start it yet.
Shame for that, hopefully this gets resolved soon enough for you and the rest to continue using the online services.
Really? Well to be honest, Metaknight was pretty much overpowered to uber levels in Brawl
Captain N got you covered for Smash Bros, so i'm just going to say i'm late for The Hobbit. I've liked the last two films a lot, so i'm sure i'll have a great time with the third.
Maybe I just love narrative and stories or i'm much more tolerant to what you describe, but I never felt it dragged. Besides, there were still parts where you could still do the puzzles while characters talked and I honestly felt this was still a fantastic way to tell a story.
