The whole atmosphere of the market is pretty awesome. Their goal was to make it as much like an old-fashioned outdoor market as possible in both feel and looks. It looks like a gigantic barn from the outside, complete with giant sliding wooden doors (just for looks, they're actually attached to the walls), inside, the display cases are all made out of old barn boards, and the ones in front look like old-fashioned carts. The ceiling is high, and they don't use those awful fluorescent lights that most supermarkets use. I think they're probably still fluorescent, but they give a warmer-looking light. And it's very much a local place where people connect. I'm actually having fun, believe it or not, and I never thought I'd say that about a cashiering job.

I've always loved dogs, never was able to have one as a kid because we moved around too often. The first thing I did when I graduated from college was to adopt one from the local shelter. He was my best bud for the 15 years I had him. Bandit is my second dog, and he's been a bit of a problem child, but I wouldn't trade him for the world.

Yeah, I'd figured out the Halloween stuff after I met Jack. So far, I've only got four masks. Are there more? I did like my model ship that I got for Explorers Day yesterday. That was pretty cool.

I really want to get my old TV set up and hook my Game Cube back up. I found Chibi Robo for the GC for cheap, but I've never played it.

Yeah, I can't figure out why it takes forever for stuff to download to my PS3 with the high speed internet we have here at the compound (my landlords over in the "big house" share their internet with me here in the cottage).

Well, Lyle doesn't look like any otter I've seen, lol. We used to have them in the river by my dad's cottage, and they were a lot of fun to watch.

I'm on the fence about this game. I'll probably get it if I can find it cheaply used or on sale, but since the home decorating part of AC is probably my least favorite thing to do in the game, it's not a high priority.

My favorite AC characters? Pascal the sea otter is a new favorite. Now that I have a scallop in the museum, I'm more than happy to give any more I catch to him. I also like Kicks, even if I'm not into buying shoes. And Shrunk just cracks me up, his jokes are so unfunny, but how can you not love an axolotl? I also like Blathers, I miss the funny comments he's make about how tasty the various fish are in AC: Wild World. That used to crack me up. And Redd, he's a con artist, but I like foxes.

My nephew told my cousin that he needed to watch Avatar, and then they both told me I needed to watch it. I binge-watched all three seasons in about 10 days (or maybe less). And then I made Jason watch it. The consensus is that the series is surprisingly deep for a Nickelodeon cartoon.

I have yet to play Uncharted 2 or 3, mostly because I can't get through the first one. I don't even have words for how much I loathe the waves upon waves of bullet-sponge enemies that just won't fucking die.
