Jason and I caught the first episode of the new season of The Amazing Race last night. That's kind of it for reality shows for us this year, I think. As for Amazon, I put my mom on it as part of their family members program and she splits the cost with me. Between Prime movies and the free shipping, it pays for itself for us.

Xenowhat?

He's a creator with ADD, Pete. He was probably composing something in his head or working on the next chapter of his current novel and just wasn't paying attention.

Look at the games, and go from there, Rodney. That's what I'm planning on doing. I keep my old consoles anyway, so bc isn't as huge for me as it might be for others. Although, I'll probably go with a Wii U, as I never got a Wii last gen.

Won't be on this weekend. Going to a sea music festival both days. Monday will probably be spent on the couch with a controller recovering from having been social for two days.

I hate people

I laughed all the way through this, because you sound just like me when I'm trying to get to work and there are 50 million stupid tourists doing stupid shit and getting in my way. I think my most used sentence this summer has been "I fucking hate people!"

On a more serious note: yeah, that is a total asshat move and I'd be pissed, too. It's mostly why I don't play with other people online that I don't know.

Music for the Masses

I constantly surprise people with what I like in terms of music. My nieces and nephews like talking about music with me because they know I'll give whatever they're into an objective listen, and if it's not my thing, that's exactly what I'll tell them. They're used to adults telling them their music sucks, and to have one who is willing to at least listen to it (And frequently like it), gives them hope for us old geezers.

I was really disappointed with R&C: Quest for Booty. It was lacking all the little things that make R&C games so much fun for me.

As you probably noticed, I spent a chunk of time yesterday playing LEGO Star Wars: TCS. I'm still missing the blue canisters and several achievements, one of which is to play through an entire level online.

Bummer about your weekend, Chris.

Backlog of games

Posted on 09/21/2015 at 12:29 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I consider my backlog my treasure hoard. I will never run out of games to play. It's especially good when I just don't have the finances to buy new games, like right now. As for picking a game, it's usually pretty random. Right now, I'm confined to my 360, PS3, and my handhelds until the old heating system gets removed and I can set up my older systems and CRT TV in its place.

Thanks for sharing these, Blake. I liked all four of them, and really enjoyed the first and last enough to possibly go lookin for more of their music.
