I didn't even watch this video or follow this whole story. I don't really worry about stuff like that, even though I probably should. I just like to play video games and have fun with them.
Soul Calibur 4 had better single player modes, but SC5 had a better character creation mode. I really liked both games! I had a lot of fun creating characters! I think I did that more than fighting!
My problem with Game Informer is that the text is too small. I used to read video game magazines all the time. Surely my eyes haven't gotten THAT bad since then.
Yeah a lot of the games I like don't focus on combat at all, like Animal Crossing. And if there is combat, it's very light and silly. However, there ARE some games that need combat. RPGs need to have battles, as long as they are fun, for instance.
Fighting games also need to have combat, because, you know, they're fighting games. Except I hate it when you have to 'kill' people in fighting games. I don't want to kill Taki and Xianghua and Ivy and Nightmare in Soul Calibur. They're too cool! I wish you could just fight them with squeaky hammers and pillows until they gave up and became friends with you.
I bet a lot of people are glad that I'm NOT designing games!
I got to where I used Toad the most. I never picked Mario.
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who likes Mario 2 better.
In the last level of the ice world in Mario 2, Luigi could jump from one tower to another and you could skip a HUGE part of the level. Not even Peach could make that jump.
I thought about putting down Link as a favorite, too, but Princess Zelda is way cooler in those games.
We need to get you on some more Mario games. I would've liked Beyond Good & Evil more if the stealth gameplay didn't suck.
As you may know, I'm a HUGE Pac-Man fan. Always have been, even when I was a little kid. But here's the thing. I never liked sweets that much. Including marshmallows. If I was ever at a friends house and we ate Lucky Charms for breakfast that morning, I'd take out all the marshmallows and just eat the oat bits. So it just KILLED me that my favorite video game character, Pac-Man, was in a cereal that had marshmallows in it!
